1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

I have a 1969 Chevelle Malibu for sale. I have owned this car for almost 2 years & wouldn't be selling it but I purchased a 1969 Camaro RS/SS convertible (my dream car) and I need the room. This is going to be a fairly lengthy description so you know exactly what you are looking at so bear with me.
It was originally Butternut Yellow until it was repainted a few years ago & it is now Daytona Yellow. The vinyl top I believe to be original & is in great condition. I do not see or feel anywhere on the top where there is rust hiding underneath. I have a hoist in my garage & have looked under the car & I don't see anywhere on this car where there have been body panels, floor panels or trunk panels replaced. The floor pans have been undercoated but I can't tell if it was factory or added at a later time.
The glass is in very good condition & the side windows roll up & down smoothly. Some of the trim is original but most has been replaced. Both bumpers, all 4 side marker light assemblies, both complete taillights, Chevelle emblems front & rear, both side grill trim pieces, driver side mirror, upper trim piece right below trunk lid, SS hood grilles, all 4 wheel opening moldings, both door handles & key locks were all replaced when the car was repainted. The windshield, back window, vinyl top & drip rail stainless all look to be new or re-polished original. The paint looks very nice & when it was repainted all of the jambs were repainted so you can't see any of the original lighter yellow color. I took the headlight bezels off when I bought the car & repainted the black areas because there were a few chips in them from getting hit by bugs and now they look new.
The interior is all original to the car with the exception of the sill plates which are new. I replaced the original Malibu steering wheel with the 3-spoke wheel in the car now just because I like the looks of the 3-spoke better. I still have the Malibu steering wheel & it is almost perfect. There are also aftermarket floor mats front & rear.
The drive train consists of the original numbers matching 307 engine & powerglide transmission. There are power steering, power front disc brakes, A/C & rear window defroster. The front disc brake kit was installed approximately 3 years ago & has drilled & slotted rotors. The wheels are 14" rally wheels on front & 15" rally wheels on back with BF Goodrich Radial TA's all around. There is newer dual exhaust with turbo mufflers & chrome exhaust tips peeking out from under the rear bumper.
To cold start the car, you press the gas pedal 2 or 3 times, turn the key & it fires up right away & idles smooth. After it is warm you barely turn the key & it fires right off. This car runs & shifts great & is a pleasure to drive. Power steering functions as new & the car runs down the road straight as an arrow. The power brakes work as they should & and do not grab or jerk.
This car was sold to me as a 39,000 original mile car but I do not have nor was I given any paperwork to prove that it is. I am not going to say that it for sure is or is not but with the interior condition & the way it runs & drive, the odometer very well could be correct. Currently, the odometer reads 40,573 but will change as I continue to take it to car shows & cruise-ins.
As with any old car there are a couple things that need to be repaired. When I got it the A/C air compressor needs the front clutch replaced & the horn doesn't work. Neither of these items have bothered me enough to fix them however I want you to know this so there are no surprises with the car when you purchase it.
Please understand that this is not a "fire sale" & I do not have to sell it but as I stated earlier in my description I wouldn't mind have the extra room in my garage. That being said, I AM negotiable on my price. If you decide to buy the car I would like payment in cash. The car title is clear & in my name.
