You're looking at a heck of a lot of car for the money. This very affordable 1974 Chevrolet Corvette has the freedom of T-tops, the comfort of A/C, and the unmistakable exhaust rumble that comes from a lot of money invested into a performance-built small block. This Stingray looks fast standing still. The factory-correct code 22 Medium Blue looks quite modern. It's especially true because '74 was the debut of the urethane bumpers front and rear. These gave the C3 an appearance of one long continuous wave, and it made the '74 much more of a designer's work of art. Also, keen eyes will notice that the two-piece rear end has been switched out for a later smooth single piece. But just because this was a more uniform look did not mean this one skipped out on brightwork. Those large and iconic 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels give this hero a performance appearance that it backs up in the engine bay (more on that in a moment.) Inside, the correct black vinyl interior looks great against the blue paint for a factory-correct and true '70s style machine. Corvettes have always been a great personal sports car by providing performance features with plenty of creature comforts to make it a great long-distance cruiser. As the driver you get a three-spoke steering wheel. Just ahead of that is the large dual pod gauges for the speedo and tach, and just to the side are a full set of auxiliary readouts. Plus, you have the convenience of power windows, a tilt wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. This is a T-top coupe so you can really let the wind run through the cabin. And on those hot summer days when all this breeze is not enough, there's air conditioning to cool keep you cool, too.Everything so far has been about a showcasing a cool 'Vette, but what will make you want to grab this one immediately is when you sneak a peek at the engine bay. This is a Chevy 350 cubic-inch crate motor with an Edelbrock ProFlow electronic fuel injection that you can control from a console in the interior. But this performance build goes way beyond that. It features roller rockers, performance air grabber, Edelbrock intake, and a great set of Hooker headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. A motor like this needs bulletproof support, that's why you also have items like the new aluminum fuel tank, performance coil, aluminum radiator, and Flex-a-lite dual electric fan. Getting all the power to the ground is a solid package that starts with an upgrade to a 200R4 close ratio four-speed automatic w/overdrive. It feeds the versatile 3.53 limited slip rear end. A VBP fiberglass sport horizontal leaf has enhanced the fully independent sports suspension further. Plus, the factory four-wheel disc brake package is now backed up by modern Kumho Ecsta Sport tires.Corvettes from this era are desirable just because of their affordable value, so a performance build like this one is an exceptional find. Complete with owner's manual and restoration receipts, this is the C3 you're going to want. But since there is only one up for grabs, you may want to hurry up and call today!!!
