| 1954 Chevy 3100 Short Box Pickup Slammed! 1954 Chevy 3100 Short Box Half Ton Pickup. One piece windshield with tricked out paint color. Solid truck that rides very well with the updated front suspension. Purchased this awesome 1954 Chevy pickup after about a year of searching. The previous owner is a custom metal fabricator at a well known shop in Minnesota. Truck sits on original frame but has been modernized with a mid 80's XJS/XJE Jaguar front end. No S-10 conversion here and done the way a real hot rod should be done. The installation of the front suspension was done properly by this professional metal fabricator who also went above & beyond with the support/welding. No backyard work done. Rear is from a S-10 Blazer 4x4 with 3.73 gears & posi. Uses stock rotors with Speedway calipers that have the e-brake built in. The ebrake is not there but do have some of the parts which will be included. The drivetrain is a Chevy 305 bolted to a 5-Speed T5 Borg Warner manual transmission. Shifts great! The engine came from a 1958 Chevy wagon and runs well. The only issue I have found is there is no choke so the engine needs a minute to warm up. Once that happens, its off to cruising! Tires only have a couple hundred miles on them and are virtually brand new. Exhaust consists of ram horn manifolds in to 2" pipes with thrush glass packs and full tail pipes. The best of both worlds. The truck idles pretty quiet and isn't too loud when your cruising, but it will rap when you get on it. To show how detailed this build was, I have a list of all parts for motor, trans, suspension, etc with part numbers from O'Reilly auto parts. Never had that before! Clean title in hand. People stop me all the time and tons of thumbs up. This is a sold, awesome truck to cruise around in. Known Issues: Door glass needs to be worked on. Driver side does not roll up and passenger side has a crack. Choke/warmup issue mentioned above. Slight tire rub on front fenders when cutting wheel tight. Tons of Photos below.. please allow them to load. Local pickup preferred. Will assist in shipping as far as making the truck available once paid in full. Will not make shipping arrangements which is responsibility of buyer. $500 non-refundable deposit withing three days of auction end. Balance due in person before taking delivery. Truck is sold as-is, where-is with no returns. I urge you to ask all questions before you bid as once the auction is completed, the sale is binding. Truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Please bid within your means as it costs money and time to auction this truck. | | | | | | |
