1971 Corvette Coupe
1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Description
Busted the budget and ran out of energy on this one. Will finish up in the fall if it doesn't sell. Having to relist due to a buyer who wouldn't follow thru with his purchase. This Corvette has just been painted the rare 1971 Corvette color Steel Cities Grey Metallic. It is undergoing a body off frame restoration. The restoration is about 90% complete. The car is running and driving with temporary wiring until the reassembly is completed. I have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours getting this classic to this stage in the restoration. If you are interested, I recommend you give me a call before you bid and I can fill you in on all the details. Major items yet to be purchased and installed include carpet, AC, heater, rear bumpers, weatherstripping and the wiring harness. The paint should probably be wet sanded and buffed to make it look its best. This is a small block, TH 400 automatic, and AC car. It was originally Warbonnet Yellow. It is NOT numbers matching. The engine is a rebuilt, era correct, stock Corvette. Typical cost to pay someone to restore a C3 Corvette is around $50,000. Typical cost to purchase a 71 with potential for restoration can be from about $12,000 to $16,000. You can buy this car for a fraction of the cost you would pay someone to get one to this stage, finish it up, and have a nice Vette without a huge investment! Please note that if you bid at or above my reserve you are obligated to buy the car unless someone else outbids you prior to the end of the auction. You can call or text me at 318-243-5374 if you have any other questions or use ebay's Ask Seller a Question feature. I can talk you thru everything that has been done and give my opinion of what it will cost to complete the restoration. The car is located in Arkansas.
