1976 chevrolet corvette *Perfect Project*
1976 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Hello, I'm offering this very cool 1976 Corvette Stingray up for sale. This is one of my very personal project cars which I picked up over a year ago from a old man in Georgia. The mileage is over 100k. I started working on this car about a year ago and found another Vette that had a 4speed manual and I had to have it too. I started working on that car,,,,, Now I have a 67 Camaro RS coming and it's on my priority list. I wont have any room to store this car so I am forced to sell it "As Is" But please read on because I really did some nice work on the rear end and the under carriage and its a lot to appreciate when considering all that was done.
The car is nice a solid. There where only a couple of very small pin holes in the floors, but no signs of rot or cancer eating threw. I was going to come around to filling them when I had the time. The frame is definitely solid and straight. The car has never been hit and it's obvious when giving her a good look over,,,, it's all original- no signs of any repair. There was some surface rust which i had not only wire brushed down to bare metal but I also treated with Por15 rust treatment, then primed and painted. Wheel wells were cleaned up too- front and rear. The whole rear was taken out and rebuilt by professional, Half shafts and drive shaft were rebuilt. The body is sitting on brand new body bushings and new hardware. The trailing arms are brand new rebuilt which I bought here off ebay for $1200 alone. New rear shocks, New E brakes and cables, New Rear brakes, Rear Calipers & Rotors. I installed some new brake lines but not all of them. I did not get around to finishing them.
Pros; Clean and clear title in my name. The car ran good before I started working on it. It has a 350 chevy engine and Rochester 4 barrel carb. The gas is good and has been kept up with gas treatment. The car has been garaged since I owned it. New rear Brakes and Emergency brakes New rear shocks New brake cables New Trailing Arms Rebuilt Rear End Rebuilt Half Shafts Rebuilt Drive Shaft New Body bushings and hardware installed Nice solid clean car on the underside New Tires I have all the parts that go to this particular car. The seats and all the dash parts will go with the car. I also have some extra parts I can throw in as well. Im throwing in a brand new steering box costed $250 I'm throwing in a brand new fire wall carpet which I didn't get around to installing.
Cons; The interior is out of car- Carpet, Seats, and Dash ( Needs restoring) The steering column needs to be re-installed ( No steering) Brake pedal needs to be install ( no brakes) needs brake booster needs master cylinder needs Proportioning valve needs some brake lines- I installed some new brake lines but not all of them. needs exhaust needs a paint job Non numbers matching engine or tranny.
The car is being sold "as is" so please no tire kickers. I know what these kinds of projects go for and I'm definitely NOT looking to give it away. The brand new parts on this car alone are as much as my asking price. I did a lot of work on this car and I truly hate to sell it. I really wanted to finish the car but i need the space to store my 67 Camaro. These cars are going up in price and becoming ever so hard to buy. No dreamers please. Serious buyers only. No trades cash only. I have tons of photos I took when restoring the car so if you more pics i can send. Buyer responsible for transportation of car, cash paid in full at pick up. $500 paypal deposit required- non refundable. The car is located in my garage in Williston park NY 11596. Please call Tommy if you have any questions 5168706078. Thanks and have a super day!!!
