1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 silverado Description

For sale is my chevrolet shortbed.I have owned for a few years and it has very low miles on it for its age.The truck will run and drive but hasnt been driven on a regular basis for a couple of years although it did get started occasionally during the time its been sitting.
There is a salvage title on it in my name so check your state laws concerning salvage titles. You would at least need to have inspected and apply for a new title in your state.
The autosource report shows this being in a rear impact accident in 2012 and an accident in 2013 in maryland on the same day the accident happened here in louisville. Both are incorrect. This truck was not in maryland and it was not in a rear impact collision. I owned it in 2012 and would know if it was.
It was in an accident in 2013 and the bed was damaged. My insurance co. totaled it and I bought it back from them. The bed was the only damage so I replaced it with a very straight, rust free bed and bedliner from a salvage yard. While I had bed off I replaced rear shocks and installed rear lowering kit to level out. There was no damage to the shocks, frame or suspension, it was just a good time to replace the old shocks and most chevy trucks ride high in the rear. When I stopped driving the truckit was running good and the ac was blowing ice cold, I would have driven it anywhere.
lt has an automatic trans with a 4.3 engine. I averaged around 20 mpg. It could use new valve seals because it smokes when you start up. This is very typical of chevy motors. I also think a wheel cylinder may be leaking because I had to add brake fluid to it occasionally. The tires are in good shape. There is the typical rust in the cab corners and rockers. The headliner and visors are not installed at this time.I took them out to install another headliner and have misplaced the screws and hardware. Headliner and visors not perfect but in ok shape. The battery was replaced recently but after sitting for a few weeks now it will need a charge. The rear transmission seal has always had a little seepage. Easy repair, I just never got around to fixing.
Now here is the bad.
I have been storing it in the parking lot at my work for awhile. About a month ago someone attempted to steal it and damaged the steering column, gear shifter andignition cylinder. I cant even get the key in it to start and shifter is broke off. The easiest repair would probably be to replace with a new or used column. With my work schedule and other projects I have very little time or interest in repairing. Ive also been informed by employer that we have lost our parking lease and I need to remove asap. I have nowhere else to store it. I bought a new truck shortly after this truck was wrecked so I dont need or want it at this point.
I want to be very clear and transparent here. You are bidding on a 23 year old vehicle and it hasnt been on the road in 3 years.I would consider it a project. It could need repairs other than what Ive listed but Ive listed all I can think of. Truck will not start or drive in its current condition.Truck is being sold as is so please ask any questions before bidding.
This a no reserve auction and high bidder will own it. Please dont bid if you dont intend to pay because I don't have the luxury of a lot of time. This is a 3 day auction.
Buyer will need to pick up within 7 days after auction ends.
U.S. bidders only. I will not ship out of United States nor will I assist in shipping out of U.S.
If you know trucks you know the short bed chevys are the most collectible and customized and you wont find many in this price range unless they're broken down rust buckets with no a/c and a few hundred thousand miles. This would make a perfect father-son project, which is the main reason I purchased from my insurance company. Unfortunately my son wasnt very interested.
