You are bidding on a 1970 Chevrolet Nova that started out life like most Novas, a six-cylinder power-glide equipped economy car. It could not be any farther from that now ! This car was a beautiful rust free example of a Nova before this transformation was started.
The car was originally gold with a white painted top. It is now this beautifulSubaru cayennered color. The car was disassembled and all parts were painted off of the car making the color change undetectable. Again this was a rust free car and all of the body panels are straight and the body gaps look great.
The engine is a 396 BBC with a steel crankshaft, rectangular port heads, a hydraulic camshaft, roller rockers, aluminum intake, edelbrock carburetor, aluminum serpentine belt and pulley set up, aluminum water pump, ceramic coated headers flowing through 2 1/2 " exhaust and it sounds incredible! The transmission is a Turbo 350 with an aftermarket torque converter (sorry, I don't know what RPM). The rear differential is a Chevy 10 bolt posi-traction with 2:73 gears. This car is equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
The car has a beautiful black interior. The items replaced during restoration include: front seat cover, front & rear trim panels, armrests, door & window crank handles, rear-view mirror, sail panels, package tray, sun-visors & swivel brackets, carpet & door sill plates, steering wheel and aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash.
Other recently replaced items include: battery & battery terminals, Weld wheels, tires, spark plugs & wire looms, gas tank & sending unit, rear leaf springs and rear shocks. The engine oil & filter, transmission fluid & filter and rear differential fluid were all recently changed.
