This truckis a true barn find, It is a 6100 2ton 4 speed [no 2 speed rear axle] After I got it home and in the shop,, 45 minutes later I had it running. All cylinders have 150lbs Compression, holds 50 psi oil pressure. and does not smoke, Engine sounds solid no noises to be heard. I do believe that the cylinder head has been replaced, has later '50's numbers on it. With all above info, I believe the engine was rebuilt. Now this could be a replacement 235 engine, or still the original 261. I need to rebuild the fuel pump [I have the kit, it is a NOS off e-bay] Original GM blue and white box.. Transmission shifts fine, no noises. But I have not had it on the road. I rebuilt the master cylinder and some of the lines. The rear brakes are stuck again from not moving it around. I have not pulled the Drums to check it out. Steering is tight from what I can tell, like I said, I've not had it on the road. Gas tank is clean. Seat has been recovered, so inside is pretty clean. Floor is solid. With the exception of one wing glass,, maybe two, all glass is perfect.. front bumper is perfect OEM, filler panel between the bumper and grill is perfect. Drivers fender and grill has a small dent when I hit it with the tractor. Damage is small, but it's there. Cab and fendersare very straight other than what I have mentioned. Frame is straight and solid. Running boards are good. All wheels are to be believed in good shape not rusted away like most you find. I found this truck west of St. Louis, Mo. a couple of years ago. Was going to build a rat rod,, but the truck is too nice to chop up. It needs to be restored. I just don't have the time,, too many projects. Title? I'm working on that, I foresee no problems getting it, in the next few weeks, but I do have one for a 47 two ton.
I except pay pal.
