1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Description

,A long time SS Clone project, that I have modified and remodified over years resulting in it's current stage. This car started it's life as a diesel powered vehicle according to it's VIN #. It had the L69 305 when I purchased it, I had it replaced with a rebuilt 350 CI motor with a mild RV cam. I dismantled most of the emission junk and there is no longer a computer in the car. I replaced the distributor with a Pertronix Flame Thrower HEI, added an Edelbroc kPerformer Manifold and a Summit Racing Quadrajet carb. It has true dual exhaust with flowmasters, no catalytic convertors and double hump crossmember. New coil springs, tie rod ends on 5/17/2001.exterior I had the transmission rebuilt at mileage 2,286 on the digital odometer, so there's 4,274 miles on it and the new converter also has shift kit and heat treated race. In 12/3/2001 had the upper left control arm and both bottom control arm bushings and all ball joints replaced. On 10/4/2002 I had the Posi Trac rebuilt and new 3.73 gears instaled. So just in the drivetrain there's over $5,000 parts and labour. The engine was rebuilt at 53,202 on the original odometer, at 59,762 I installed a Nordscog digital dash panel, it's now at 6,875 if my math is correct that would put the engine miles at 13,435 and less on the transmission and rearend. I put the SS front nose and air dam on in 2001 also a SS deck lid. I replaced the stock seats with Procar racing seats, new door panels, new dashtop, new headliner and a lot of new trim. It has a Harwood fiberglass 4 inch cowl induction hood, I also have a new steel hood and numerous exterior trim and various parts that come with the car. This is a blast to drive, has no leaks or mechanical issues, just needs someone with the time to do the body rust and paint. I bought the car on 7/31/1989 when I was 39 years old, it's time for me to pass it along. It came with factory air but will need to be restored in order to work. The car is not street legal to drive in Texas, it's registered as antique auto which allows you to drive to car shows, events etc. I have all receipts, Clear title states rebuilt. Please ask questions if you have any and I'll answer, thanks for looking. The BF Goodrich tires are P245/60R15 front and P275/60R15 rear mounted on 15x8 Eagle Alloy Wheels. Tires have 875 miles on them since 2/22/2013, which shows how little I drive this car just a couple of times a week to keep the battery up and the oil and everything circulating.
