1963 Chevrolet C10 Suburban- Clean Colorado Title
I bought this Suburban from the original owner in June 2014. I put an Aluminum Radiator, Gas Tank, and a set of points to make it run and drive. We've driven it 1750 miles the last two summers and i've averaged 12.4 MPG. It turns heads wherever it goes and is a great familycruiser.
I have the original dealer invoice,a receipt for an engine rebuild and clutch replacement in 1976 with 106K miles andhand written service records for it back to 1963, including a transmission service with 3090 miles the day after Kennedy was assassinated...showing that life did indeed go on in November of 1963!
The body was repainted during its lifetime. It has minimal surface rust here and there, and the lower front corners of the fenders have the most rust of any of the body panels. The middle body mount brackets are rusted outand will need replaced, these are shown in the picture album below.
The rocker panels and rear quarters are in good shape. The front floor pan has surface rust on the passenger side near the kick panel and a small pin hole on the drivers side near the kick panel. The roof does have a few hail dents. The original paint code is 502A Jade, Seamist Metallic.
The interior is super clean and all original, nothing has ever been hacked up. The lower portion of the driver’s seat has been recovered, and the original owner added seat-belts that came from Sears on Oct. 26th 1963. The original AM radio works, and the jack is under the driver seat.
