If you are a collector, enthusiast, or just love neat rigs for a hobby, you most likely know the prices on good model 1970's and older model cars are very inflated. For less than $20k, it is nearly impossible to find a finished or low-mileage car you can drive and watch it continue to appreciate. The 1980's are now becoming collectible as seen in recent auction values of Grand Nationals, Monte Carlos, pristine Camaros, etc.. This is a very cool opportunity to buy a 3rd generation Camaro that is on the rise. I truly hate to sell this car. I am clearing out two cars in my collection due to a real estate purchase. If the purchase falls through, I will keep this car.
The Camaro was bought new at Fred Bauer Chevrolet in Portland, Oregon. The car has been in Oregon all of its life and has had one owner (the title has a transaction date on 7-17-1984) with all original purchase paperwork/dealer paperwork including the window sticker, media booklets, purchase paperwork, etc.. It is a very well optioned car for the year with the HO motor (305 with a 4 barrel), 5 speed manual transmission, six way power seats, tinted glass, power hatch release, air conditioning, limited slip differential, power disc front and rear brakes, power antenna, body side moldings, and much more. The ODO shows 7403 miles and the miles are actual!! The car has been stored inside under a custom California Car Cover (it comes with the car) all of its life and has literally NEVER seen rain. The oil and gas have been drained every six months and fresh fluids have been put in. I store this car on a 4 post lift. It has never dripped any fluid on the car under it. No paint work or body work has ever been done to the car. The factory red paint shines great and the factory charcoal/black interior still smells somewhat new for 32 years. Basically, this is as original of a Camaro (with the exception of a new battery) as one can find and a great investment opportunity. The only car that I have seen with lower miles (under 1500) sold for $30k+ at auction....years ago. This car has never been advertised for sale, until now.
This car has the best color combination offered in 1984, crazy low miles, and is as original as they come. This is a great investment opportunity and chance to buy a collector car at a great price that does not hurt the wallet too bad. If you have any questions, please call 503-703-4065. I am happy to assist with shipping and encourage all buyers to come inspect the car prior to purchase just so he or she does their due diligence. While this car is pristine, it is still 32 years old and well beyond the factory warranty. Therefore, it is being sold "as-is" with no set asides or guarantees. Thanks for looking.
