1970 chevrolet corvette LT1 unrestored 9936 miles
1970 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Sometimes a special car will come along that I get a joy out of listing.I am listing this car for a friend that has owned the car since Jan 12th 1977. He purchased it from the original owner who purchased it from Selzer Chevrolet in Oklahoma city on March 13th 1970.what makes this car special of the 17,316 corvettes built in 1970 only 1,287 units were LT1"s. the mileage on the car is 9934 original miles. This can be validated by the owner through registration slips that will go with the car. The present owner has only driven the car approximately 1,200 miles since he purchased it in 1977.You might say that this is a barn find but actually it has been sitting in his garage. The car is in original unrestored condition, as the photos will show. The owner states that the car has never been painted with the exception of the right front head light and part of the front fender to repair a scratch. The car has never been hit. The car shows some nicks and scratches and shows the proper patina for an unrestored car that is 46 years old. As the photos will show the car is painted in Bridge Hampton Blue with a beautiful blue interior. The owner states that all numbers match. In its early life the original owner installed headers to the original exhaust. He also installed a Hurst shifter but the present owner has the original shifter and linkage. The smog is no longer with the car nor are the original tires. The car has all of its original glass although the windshield has major hazing on the right upper top as the photo shows. If you have been considering the purchase of an origina, unrestore, low mileage 1970 LT1 this could be the car. As they say you are only original once.In closing we take this auction seriously and ask the bidder to do the same.
