1978 Chevrolet Caprice Description

Low mileage, all original '78 Caprice Classic. Recently purchased from the original owner. I have the owner's manual and warranty card (paper style 'protecto-plate'). Still has the metal dealer emblem on the trunk lid. Car was garaged since new - original two-tone burgundy over ruby red paint is still in nice shape. It has power windows that are actually quick up and down. Power seat, power locks, tilt wheel, A/C (converted to 134 but not ice cold). Interesting is was not ordered with rear defrost or a pass side mirror. The key and headlight buzzers even work. I detailed the car and the finish is smooth and still holds a nice shine. Interior is nearly mint - no cracks in the dash and the carpet/seats show minimal wear. Headliner is not bad - a few loose spots but still holding up. It even still has the original matching GM floor mats. The chrome bumpers and stainless trim are in like-new condition. The car is optioned with the 350 / 4 bbl engine (5.7). Similar engine Chevy used in the Corvette and Z28 in '78. The engine runs smooth and pulls very well. Trans shifts quietly as the car eases down the road. I fixed a few minor issues (remote side mirror, wiper arm) and changed the oil and filters - otherwise it is ready to go. Please keep in mind the car is 38 years old and is not perfect - there are a few parking lot scars and some dings, but overall the car presents very well as is. Good starting point for a custom - NO RUST anywhere on the car + the 350 makes it a great platform. I am traveling the week of 8/15, so I will not be able to show the car locally.
