1975 Corvette Coupe L48 Auto
1975 Chevrolet Corvette Description
Up for sale is my 1975 Corvette Stingray. It is a mostly original survivor car with 60,500 miles. It is an L-48/automatic car with a/c (inop), power windows, tilt and telescoping steering, factory am/fm stereo. In the last 2,000 miles, I have replaced the following items: water pump, fuel pump, alternator, fan clutch, one exhaust manifold, harmonic balancer, timing chain and gears, timing cover, all belts and hoses, oil pan, oil pan gasket, oil pump and pickup, rear main seal, rear leaf spring bushings, all 4 KYB shocks, all five tires (I have the original spare on a restored wheel for shows) I have receipts for $3,000 in parts, all work done by me. Just prior to my purchase a year ago, the master cylinder, all 4 calipers and brake hoses and a starter were replaced. The interior is mostly original, with new front carpet, door armrest pads and woodgrain, and a padded center armrest. I have new T-Top storage bags, and the original am/fm stereo is working with two new 10 ohm speakers. Front and rear bumpers have been replaced and the paint blended in with the original paint, which is faded but still has a nice shine. I'd rate the paint about a 6-7, it has some touched up chips, and the interior about an 8. It seems like people like a Corvette to be original, wear and all. I have a set of vintage license plates, a reproduction window sticker and NCRS documentation of the selling dealer. The car is stock with the exception of true dual exhaust, a recurved original distributor, and a rebuilt and custom jetted original carb. I built this car to use as a daily driver, and would trust it anywhere, but... my wife is out of a job and I need the money, or I would not be selling it. I looked long and hard for an original car, and everything has been replaced on this one now. If you are looking for a 9 or a 10, keep looking. If you want something that gets waves and thumbs up on the street, wins trophies at car shows and draws a crowd at the local cruise night due to its originality and patina, this is for you. You can keep this one waxed and in the garage for weekends, or use it every day. Even the clock still works! And its just cool as hell!It has a small pinion seal leak, I have the seal and a new differential support bushing, and I have new rear strut rod bushings, as the originals are starting to crack. There is touchup paint, interior dye, complete factory shop manuals and a ton of info that I printed off the 'net. There is no warranty on this car, fly in and drive it home or have it shipped, all of which will be the responsibility of the buyer. At the close of the auction, a $100 deposit will be required via paypal, balance to be paid via bank wire transfer or cash only, NO exceptions.
