1970 Chevelle SS Tribute
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Description
I am selling a frame-off fully restored 1970 Chevelle. The car was bought new in El Paso, Texas and spent it's entire life in Southern New Mexico. This helped to preserve the interior floors and trunk floor. It was originally a 307 with a turbo 350 automatic, power steering and power drum brakes. The entire car was disassembled. We stripped, primed and painted the frame, added front and rear tubular control arms, new springs, shocks, brake and fuel lines, gas tank with sending unit, front disc brakes, new rear shoes and hardwareand a 12 bolt posi rear end with 3.42 gears. The car has a quick ratio steering box, 1 1/8in front sway bar and 1in rear. Reinstalled body with new mounts. The engine is a freshly rebuilt 454 broken-in on the dyno producing 502 HP and 528 lbs. of torque. It has a new770cfm Holley carb, GM intake, new water pump, fuel pump, alternator, high torque mini starter, aluminum radiator, heater core, heater and radiator hoses. Transmission is a rebuilt turbo 400 with a shift kit and new driveshaft.
The body was stripped to bare metal andsprayedwithself etch primer followed byurethane primer, 4 coats of TEC base and 4 coats of clear. The stripes were tediously laid and buried under the clear with no paint line. It was color sanded and polished to a mirror-like finish. It has a new AMD cowl hood and bumpers. The interior is ALL new and features anSS dash, tilt column and AM/FM stereo radio with MP3 jack and 4 speakers. Dash, engine, and lighting wiring harnesses are all new. The new tires are BFG 235-60-15s in the front and 255-60-15s in the rear. The 15X8 SS wheels are new with new caps and rings. Original owner's manual is in the glove box.
No expense was spared to make this Chevelle drive and ride better than new. Please feel free to call 505-975-5795 or email me if you have any questions about the car.
