This Southern born and raised Blazer has had just one careful family own itsince new, and has an extensive documetnation of its service history, original window sticker, original invoice, and more.
It is so exceptionally clean, rust and issue free, and carefully maintained that it almost defies logic.

DESCRIPTION

This 1989 K5 Blazer started life being shipped from the Warren, MI assembly plant to Cody Chevy-Olds in Dahlonega, GA on 09/13/1988 according to the included factory invoice.
The invoice notes show that it was placed into Demo Service with the General Manager of the dealership on 09/23/1988, and removed from service with 5,896 miles on 03/10/1989.
The included factory original window sticker shows that the Blazer was ordered with a whole slew of options, and I will provide the listing below:

THE TOTAL MSRP ON THE TRUCK WAS $21,893.40
Other than maintenance/general wear items that required replacement over the years, the only non-original items I can see on the Blazer are the wheels and the stereo head unit.
The wheels were replaced less than a year ago due to the original having some marks that would not polish out. These rims are as close to the original style as you can get, and are in brand new condition all around, with no patina, scuffs, or marks.
The radio was replaced a few years ago with a modern unit that provides Bluetooth, iPhone, USB and CD capability along with AM/FM radio, simply to make road trips more enjoyable. The original radio could not be found, and is not included.
The Blazer spent its entire life in Georgia and Florida, and has NOT been sprayed with undercoating, sealant, rhino-lining, or anything else to hide the condition of it. The chassis, hardware, floor pans, rockers, and inner fenders on the vehicle is all steel, and all rust, rot, and bondo free!!! Look at the photos, and you will see nothing but bare metal, nuts, bolts, and chassis components!
Over the years, the maintenance was kept up on the truck, and you can see that brakes, brake lines, chassis and suspension components, shocks, and other general wear items have been addressed on a routine basis to make sure the Blazer was reliable and ready to go whenever they needed it.
We have performed a safety check on the Blazer, and found everything to be in proper working order with no known issues to address at this time. Everything from the wipers and cruise control down to the ice cold air conditioning and power rear window works like it should.
Paint is shiny, slick, and clean all around, and the Blazer was stored inside a large commercial building when not being used and driven. Aside from a few tiny stone chips and other normal use blemishes a car gets, it shows exceptionally well, and has no sign of dents, damage, or issues.
The top appears to have been removed at least once before, but all hardware and seals are intact and it is impervious to water. It is in very good condition, with no cracks or leaks, and all of the sliding windows and vents work as they should.
Tail gate glass goes up and down like it should from the dash switch or the keyed handle in back. Opening the gate reveals an exceptionally clean tailgate area with no rust, rot, damage issues.
Deluxe side trim, wheel-well molding, and other brightwork on the Blazer is in very good condition all around, and it has not even been detailed!!! Imagine what an afternoon with some Mothers and a clean towel could make it look like!!!
The dealer installed aluminum running boards are in excellent shape, and would look even nicer after the previously mentioned polishing.
A dealer installed front bug shield is included, and is in great condition. It was removed because it tended to cause wind noise. Also, a set of new wiper blades is included as well, and the ones installed are in great condition too.
Also included is an uninstalled CB radio mast, although the CB itself was removed a few years back.
The front brush guard/grill guard is in very good condition, and should polish up even nicer too! Working fog lamps are installed and are damage free.
Factory grill is in excellent condition, and all of the lights work as they should.
All emblems and badging is in great shape, with no issues.
All of the glass appears to be original to the truck, and it is clean with no cracks, chips, or divots to be found. Back window and side windows on the removable top have been tinted.
Wheels are less than a year old, and still look like new front and back. There are no cracks, curb marks, scuffs, or issues with them, and they shine beautifully. They replaced a stock set that were looking a little tired from years on the road.
The wheels are 15” American Racing Baja in show polish with Chrome center caps and hub covers.
They are wrapped in RWL Dunlop AT Radial Rover tires size 31x10.50R15LT.
Front tires have just about 1/8 of an inch tread remaining, while the rear show just under ¼ inch.
We just replaced the front calipers which were sticking from inactivity the past few years, and turned the rotors and flushed the brake lines. Braking is smooth and solid with no pulling, excess modulation, or fade.
Handling is straight and solid, with no excessive slop in the steering wheel, and a solid and sure feel on the road.
Factory Quad shocks up front help the ride be more car-like than truck-like, and as I said before, everything underneath shows clean, neat, and recent.
The truck starts right up with a turn of the key, idles cleanly, and is ready to drive at a moment’s notice.
Snick the column shifter into overdrive, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly and cleanly through each gear up to cruising speed.
The automatic locking hubs make shifting into 4wd mode super easy, and although I haven’t taken it into a mud pit or anything, we have tested the 4wd system by driving in a grass field next to the shop, as well as checking its functionality while it was on a lift. It appears to be performing as it should with no issues.
The truck, to the knowledge of the prior owner’s daughter, has NEVER been used for off-road purposes. 4WD was selected simply because it offered an increase in towing capability, which was important in pulling a small travel trailer from Georgia to Florida and back.
The factory tow system on the Blazer is in exceptional condition, and I hooked up my Aluma car hauler to it and all the lights and the trailer brake worked as they should.
The engine bay is clean, neat, and shows the level of care the Blazer was given its whole life.
It appears as though all the factory decals are in place, and the factory jack and equipment are intact also.
The factory emissions items are in place, and the truck has passed multiple Georgia emissions tests, with the last being on 04/10/2009 at 67,530 miles, prior to the owner moving to Florida full time. Florida does not require emissions test, so that is the last record we have.

It was at this point, the original owner became too ill, and moved to Florida, showing as a new owner on 12/29/2011. At this point, the Florida DMV also automatically listed the mileage as EXEMPT.
On 03/12/2012, the DMV issued his daughter a new title after his passing. It is noted that the vehicle is exempt from mileage reporting due to model year.

I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE

In addition to the filled out service and maintenance booklet, you also get the original owner manual, warranty assistance booklet, and Goodwrench service brochure that came with the Blazer when new.
You also get the original Factory window sticker, and the original factory invoice with dealer mark ups.
All stickers are intact on the doors, VIN is intact and correct to the title and paperwork, and even the glovebox decal listing all the options is a perfect match to the truck.
You will be hard-pressed to ever find a cleaner, more carefully maintained and cared for Blazer than this one.
Inside, you are met by an interior with very little in the way of wear and tear.
Front buckets and optional folding rear seat are in great condition, with no rips, tears, seam pulls, or stains. They all function like they should.
Door panels are clean and neat, and show no damage.
Power window and lock controls work like they should.
Kick panels, pillar panels, and side panels are in exceptional condition.
Center console is clean and functions as it should, including the lock.
Carpeting is in very good condition in the front and rear passenger area, but does have some staining and wear in the cargo section. There is now a large plastic liner in the rear to protect it and make storage a breeze.
Large rubber floor mats are in great condition, and have done the job protecting the carpeting.
Headliner and dual sun visors are in excellent condition, as are the passenger grab strap and functional dome light.
Dash is clean, neat, and shows wonderfully. Glovebox works as it should and locks via the key.
Ashtray and 12V outlet work, and the Blazer appears to have never been smoked in. It has no odor or smell whatsoever, and was not from a pet owned home.
Rear window switch on the dash works like it should.
Factory heating and air conditioning control panel works like it should, and everything from the heat to the defrost to the A/C works perfectly without issue.
A full set of factory gauges works like it should, including battery, oil pressure, temp, fuel, and speedometer with odometer and trip meter.
Shift indicator works like it should, and is lined up properly in all positions.
Tilt steering works perfectly, as does the electronic cruise control.
Flashers and turn signals work like they should.
Soft touch steering wheel is in great condition, with only light patina, and works perfectly.
4wd lever on the floor functions as it should.
All of the gas, brake, and e-brake pedals look and perform exceptionally well.
Parking lights, head lights, tail lights, high beams, fog lamps, dash lights, dome lights, turn signals, and flashers all work like they should.
Under dash mounted trailer brake works like it should.
The factory radio was replaced with a modern AM/FM/CD unit with Bluetooth, iPod, iPhone, USB, and MP3 capability. It sounds great, and does everything it is supposed to do.
All of the seals, weather stripping, and rubber trim is in excellent condition, and it is not dryed out, brittle, or damaged. It seals against the weather as it should.
I am not really sure what else to tell you. I have driven it about 120 miles since I bought it, and I wouldn’t be afraid to take it anywhere.
It doesn’t leak, it doesn’t do anything funny, and it feels like it is 1990 and you are looking for a clean used Blazer when you get behind the wheel.
