1965 Chevrolet Corvette Description
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS at 76O 8O5 8038. Ifyou appreciate Survivor type Corvettes, this is a once in a lifetime find on an extremely original, unrestored, untouched Vetteand unlike most, at a price that is very reasonable. They are only original once! It is a 1965 Corvette Stingray Roadster that Dr. Richard Penman ordered brand new in 1965 and it has remained in his possession it's entire life. He purchased the car and drove it to California where he was stationed as a Dentist for the United States Military and it hasbeen here in CA the whole time. It had it's first service at Harloff Chevrolet in San Diego. This is a matching number 327/350 HP, 4 speed. It is absolutely a matching number car, not a restamp. The numbers are clear on the pad and I have the Protect-o-plate with the numbers stamped on it as well. I also have the original paperwork from the dealer financing, owner's manual, radio operation manual, a ton of old registrations, etc. The car is very original. The bodyhas never been hit or in any accidents. The bonding strips are all in tact and you can seethe factory seams. The Glen Green paint is correct andoriginal. It has never been re-painted. The paint is very tired, but I would certainly rather have an untouched original than a freshly repaintedone that has been pieced back togetherso you know every single thing about the car. It has chips, scratches, and checking. The frame is excellent. The car runs and drives like anew 65 Corvette. It is smooth, fast, and fun. The transmission shifts like butter. No shakes, no funny rattles. The clutch and brakes are excellent. Original hubcaps, factory AM/FM radio, recently re-done4 wheel disc brakes. Manual steering and brakes. Factory ignition shielding and exhaust shields. If you are looking for a shiny, over restored example thatlives it's life in one of those stupid plastic bubbles, THIS IS NOT IT! I like itexactly how it sitsand you could drive it to New York tomorrow. The bumpers are untouched and could use restoring. The interior is very original and has a split in thepassenger seat. The dash pads are excellent. The door panels are very nice. Some pitting on the steering column and gauge cluster. The factory shifter boot has a tear in it. New tires. It still has the original white convertible softtop. It does not have any holes in it, but is worn. Ihave the white factory hardtop for it too. I have had a million old Corvettes, this one is hands down one of the best driving mid-year Vettes that I have ever been in. It is fast, it shifts smoothly, and stops straight. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. They are meant to be driven. Clean, clear CA title in hand. This Corvette is priced far more reasonably than most. There is nothing to hide on this car. As far as finding a more honest car, I think you would look for years without finding another one like it. I already have a 1967 coupe. I am located in Solana Beach, California near San Diego. HAVE SOME FUN AT THE CAR SHOWS THIS YEAR!! I have zero interest in dealing with Corvette numbers nazis that want to know the date code of the water in the radiator. Thanks and good luck!
