1939 Chrysler New Yorker Coupe. Chrysler 360 V8, Chrysler 727 auto trans with Lokar floor shifter. Original frame has been fully modified and upgraded. Custom independent front suspension using Mustang components. Front disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering. Ford 9" rear end with drum brakes and Chassis Engineering leaf spring suspension. Dual Tilton master cylinders with adjustable proportioning valve. All brake and fuel lines are stainless steel. Rock Valley stainless steel gas tank, Vintage Air heat & a/c, complete custom wiring system with Auto Meter gauges. Polished real Halibrand Sprint aluminum 15" wheels with Coker Classic Red Line radial tires. Original chrome trim inside and outside was restored and chrome plated to a show quality finish. Custom upholstered interior and trunk area is of the highest quality. The custom roll bar can be taken out with the removal of eight bolts, simple procedure. This Chrysler coupe was finished in 2004. The body work and paint is high quality. Over the years a few areas of body has bubbled and cracked. The cost of repairing these areas was taken in consideration when selling price was determined. The reserve on this auction is a fraction of the original build cost. This Chrysler New Yorker coupe was pro built for original owner in the early gasser style.
