This is one of the last years for the Famous Chrysler 300 Letter series cars (I believe 1967 was the last, but by then they were more or less a trim option) and is far rarer than most any 55, 6, or 7 chev. This car is in excellent partially restored condition having been in enthusiasts collections for at least 20 years. I bought it out of a collection 18 years ago, sold it and bought it back 3 years ago. It is very original and it was my plan to just take care of the little thing, detail it, show it and take it to a hi rollers auction. Upon close inspection it was obvious the paint needed doing as there were tiny bubbles in several areas in addition to some very minimal rust in the rockers(visible in a couple of the pictures when I bought it back). So I had all the problem areas stripped to the metal the rust repaired and it completely repainted, which emphasized the need for some chrome work (quite a few pieces are dull or beginning to pit). In addition to this car I have several other classic or special interest cars (a Lamborghini countach, 79 corvette, 73 eldo convertible, 86 corvette roadster, 88 volvo baritone coupe, 300 sl Mercedes and two custom cars) all of which need something and at 71 that’s just too many partial projects. My plan is to cut down to three and retire next year. This car shows only 56,228 on the odometer, which is believed correct and somewhat verified by the cars overall condition. It has the High performance 413 V-8 engine (a set of cross ram manifolds are in the trunk), automatic transmission, power windows (the front two have quit working, but the back two windows work), power seats, push button heater, factory floor shift, tilt steering wheel, and chrome wire wheels; which have some corrosion . The interior is in amazingly good condition looking better than most 3 year old cars. The car runs and drives well; however when you first drive it after it has been sitting it takes a few miles for transmission to shift properly-a service would probably correct it. The first 4 pictures are of the car as it is now, The last four are of it when I bought it and the rest are self explanatory . This car really doesn’t need much (I’ve tried to point out the flaws) and is perfect for the person who wants to restore or upgrade a classic and be able to play with it at the same time.
