1986 Chrysler LeBaron GTS Description

Bought this around 1 year ago for a side project but have had to quit my job since then and money has been tight! I have 3 kids and have become a stay at home Dad at this point. I cannot emphasize enough that this is strictly a project car! Look at the photos carefully and if you have any questions please ask! I am selling it as is! If you are the winning bidder please don't show up trying to negotiate. I've already put more into the car than what I paid for it and don't expect to get it back. I'm also not parting it out, so don't ask. I've converted the car from fuel injected to carb. I've got an old Predator on it now with a brand new fuel system installed; fuel system meaning 12 gallon fuel cell, fuel filter, fuel line, fuel pump, and fuel pressure gauge. In my research to get the ignition working I bought a points type distributor for a '78 volkswagon to replace the factory hall effect distributor. This seems to be necessary to completely bypass the factory computer. I've also installed a MSD BTM ignition box that retards the timing based on how much boost is detected. The loose wiring you see in the photos were put into place until I was sure everything was set and good. I had the motor idling on the factory hall effect but as mentioned before the computer interferes. All that I think is needed to get it consistently running is to get the new points type distributor installed along with some new plug wires and an air filter. The new distributor has a different style hold-down clamp and will need a little modification, no big deal for the creative type. Good luck!
