1964 Chrysler 300 Convertible
1964 Chrysler 300 Series non letter Description
Selling a 1964 Chrysler 300 Non Letter type vehicle that sat in a dry garage for many years. It has a 383 cu in 2 BL motor and apush Button Torque Flite transmission. Has manual windows and seat. Just completed a Valve Job and a complete engine reseal. A new Melling oil pump was installed as well. Oil pressure over 60 lbs cold. New upper and lower radiator hoses. I took the Carb apart and cleaned it thoroughly. Gas tank has been drained and new 93 octane fuel put in. Runs Real well and shifts great. This 300 has an excellent, quiet dual exhaust. Has a good sound. The floors are very good as well as the trunk floor. Rockers are rotted and the left quarter has some wheel house rust. Some lower quarter rust too. It will need 4 wheel cylinders to have good braking. Does start easy and run well. Stops ok but needs wheel cylinders. Also will need a power steering hose, it leaks a little when sitting. Drives pretty good. No power steering whining and transmission is solid. Water pump and belts are good. The older guy that owned it before me installed a dual master cylinder and new brake lines. Brake shoes were also replaced. Heater works. The hood at the hinges mounting was repaired. The battery is strong. Convertible top is power and works fine. The convertible top fabric is brittle and needs to be replaced. There is a photo of some extra items that go with the vehicle including a reprint of a 1964 Chrysler manual. I do have more photos. Check the vehicle out good and ask questions before you bid. Makes your decision easier. Any questions, please call Steve. Thanks
