1953 Chrysler Town And Country HEMI Station Wagon
1953 Chrysler Town & Country Rare Low Production Survivor Easy Restoration Description
Very original 1953 Chrysler Town and Country station wagon. As found desirable low production Southern car with a great patina and lots of potential for an easy restoration or very little work to make it a driver just as it is. All original interior and the 331 V8 Hemi starts right up. Front rugs have been removed to see the front floor which has some minor rust on the drivers side. The passenger side has a small hole at the upper right, all of which can be seen in the pictures and should be an easy fix. The front section of the spare tire well also has a rust hole.
The other rust issue is the boxed outer section along both sides under the doors next to the frame. This also looks like the usual spot that these cars would have had an issue and shouldn't be a big job for the right person. Overall the car is very solid .
The frame is in great condition showing only normal surface rust and the rest of the underneath is very clean and has what looks like a factory or added undercoating put on when new. Car is advertised locally and could sell especially if reserve is not met. If small reserve is met car will remain listed.
