1973 Datsun 240Z, with awesome updates
1973 Datsun Z-Series perfect Marin Green paint and chrome Description
After 3+ years of ownership, I have decided to sell my beloved, ever mutating1973 Datsun 240Z.I purchased this used with roughly 84K miles on itand then progressively added, subtracted, and changed it.Unfortunately, since I have other fun cars, it has mostly languished in the garage..It has never been in an accident that I am aware of.I have title in hand.I am running a 5 year collector plate. If you're looking for a nice streetable car to drive occasionally, this is the one.
The naturally aspirated motor is putting about 200 Hp at the rear wheels at Denver altitude of 5200 feet (Dyno Result pictured), The motor is massively over built.I like the instant throttle response andrev-ability (up to 7,000 rpm) of the current configuration.
So why sell? Too many toys. It’s not getting driven enough. I have less than 1,000 miles on the motor in 2 years. The following is a list of what’s on/in the car currently, I’m sure I’ve missed stuff so please feel free to ask questions. It starts and runs great. It has a manual choke. It runs smooth, 900 RPM idle.Overall condition is very good, no rust anywhere....
