1971 Datsun Z-Series Description

With sadness I'm listing my 1971 240z.The car has a 383 sbc stroker.4 bolt main,square and paralleled decked,aligned honed main bearing bore.scat crankshaft,KB hyper Pistons,9.5 to 1.balanced rotating assy.heavy duty double roller timing set,melting high volume oil pump,vortec heads.Hedman 1 7/8 hugger headers with a Muncie m22 4 speed tranny.The rear end is a R200 with a rare Gleason Torsten LSD.The car runs and drives and shifts and stops great.The reason I'm selling is I just don't use it.At the most I have put on 2000 miles since I purchased in May 2009.The oil has never gotten dirty enough to see on stick.Car sounds awesome.I have a box of receipts and notes from original owner a dentist in Texas.Also a full set of new weatherstripping and Nissan chrome side mirrors and headlight covers.car has never been raced but to give you an idea my son has a tuned sti that I Pull away from by third gear.Paint is over ten years old while not perfect it shows that it's hiding nothing and looks great.The springs are suspension techniques with koni shocks and handles like its on rails.Tires have good tread but starting to get flat spots from sitting barely noticeable but I would change.Please don't buy if your immature or if you don't like attention this car is scary fast and people will stop you to talk.Only problem worth mentioning is passenger door though closes and locks easily stick out about 3/4 " at bottem left after being hung on while open.Never bothered to try to adjust but u can make even just by putting pressure on it with hand.Ive never seen a better example of a 240z and any owner will be very happy.Good luck Tom
