1975 Datsun 280Z No Rust and No Reserve RELISTED FOR NON-PAYMENT
1975 Datsun Z-Series Description
I'M RELISTING BECAUSE THELAST BUYER NEVER PAID BUT MADE A LOT OF PROMISES, SELLERS BEWARE!!! I'M STARTING BELOW WHERE BIDDING ENDED, ONE MORE CHANCE TO BUY A GREAT CAR Up for sale is my 1975 Datsun 280Z It's in very good condition and no rust, however, the paint is original and it does have some small dings here and there. It has one deeper 2" dent from my wife dropping a ladder against it in the garage (see photo) The dash has one crack in the center and I have a dash cap to go over it that I'm including, the crack is tight and isn't real bad looking.
Glass is in good condition. Carpet is in good condition although it is sun faded in areas. Seats are in great shape with no tears or cracks. Door cards are in great shape the onlything needed is passengerarmrest is separatingat a seam, very easy to replace with a few screws it's been on my replace list for awhile. When I bought the car it has an automatic transmission and that wasn't much fun so I bought a 5 speed manual from a 1978 Datsun 280z and had it gone through and installed. Everything works except the clock that stopped a few years ago.
I have receipts from previous owner for $14,149.00 plus a few others, $8234 on parts and 5914 in labor. He had started a fairly robust restoration and the engine and suspension were all redone. He also had the engine compartment cleaned and painted when the engine was out so that was done when he got around to painting the rest of the car. It has very rare wheels that were an option and hard to find, they were $1600 10 years ago. It also is a rare color it's called Datsun Brown Metallic #214 however I would describeit as olive green, very sharp. The AC pump was not working when I got it so I put in a new AC unit and blows very cold.
The photo's were taken in my heated storage and I will try to get some better photos if the weather gets better and I can get it out. This is a no reserve auctionso I'm taking a risk starting low but I'm confident a 280Z enthusiastwill enjoy the car for years to come.
