1972 Datsun Z-Series Description

Older restoration in very good condition. I had car checked for any rust and found the passenger side footwell area with minor rust and about 3 inches of the passenger side frame rail. I had new metal welded in professionally. All the rest of the frame rails, rockers, floor pans, etc, are solid. From what I know this has been a Florida car that was garaged and well maintained. The engine was upgraded to the L28 and the difference is quite noticeable. It had been sitting covered in a garage for 3 years due to carb issues.I purchased completely rebuilt carbs from California Datsun. I had the carbs installed and had them go through all the systems to insure everything was fresh and up to date. Brake master and wheel cylinders were replaced along with all fluids. Being in Florida I wanted the A/C working and So had it gone through and replaced various components. It now blows cold air.I had a new stereo installed as it didn’t have one in it. It has very nice wheels and good tires.Interior is very nice as well. Seats, Panels, Carpet, and headliner all look good. Gauges and electronics work properly except the clock (of course)!! New Am/Fm and working power antenna. The dash has a cover that has a few cracks..The engine is strong (I had a leak down and compression test done and compression average around 160) and the4 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Suspensionfeels tight and handles excellent. The paintpresents nice and shiny with some minor blemishes and is the original color.. Underside is quite clean. Seams and rubbers are good and the body, trim, moldings etc are well in tact. The chrome is driver quality but overall this car will shine at any show.Overall this is a solid Z with no rust and good condition all around.Awesome weekend cruiser, potential show car, or addition to any collection. This is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car.
