1970 Datsun Z-Series 240Z Description

EXPORT NO PROBLEM!

Early production Series 1 240Z. I am a Z collector and purchased this car recently from a long distance seller. Unfortunately the seller lied extensively in both his ad and our lengthy conversations. The car is simply not what I was expecting so before I do the work required to bring it to my standards I will offer it here, as is, one time at low price. I will describe the car honestly... good and bad. With that said it is a decent example with potential to be awesome so this is an opportunity for the right buyer. I have fixed the most glaring safety issues and have put maybe 20 miles on it. It drives fine but I would go through the car before any long distance driving. The pics (except the engine) are from the previous seller and I will ad more tomorrow.
The body is straight and rust free in all the typical Z problem areas... The rockers, dog legs, rear hatch sill and battery tray area appear solid. Floors were patched badly and should be replaced. The paint is only ok, not what I consider a quality job. The wheels are 19 inch... not ideal fitment for this car.

The interior is ok as you can see. Seats were redone in cloth in the original pattern. Dash is actually quite nice with only one minor crack. Panels etc are in decent shape overall with a few trim pieces missing. Gauges, lights, and electronics appear to work properly except the clock of course but wiring has been redone amateurishly and needs attention.

Motor is a built L28 with triple webbers... 3.1 stroker I was told. It has head work and flat top pistons, steel rods, etc. I was told 295 hp. It does start, idle, and run well... definitely has good power. Triple webbers are an expensive nice upgrade. Headers and 3 inch exhaust sounds mean. 5-speed Trans shifts smooth and strong through the gears with heavy duty clutch. Suspension is mostly stock and feels tight although those huge rims reduce ride quality.
Overall this is a cool early Z in decent condition all around. I am a Z collector. This one makes a great investment and/or could be Awesome Weekend Cruiser, daily driver, or whatever you like. Great for any enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool and unique Vintage sports car at a great price.
The car is located in Beverly Hills California... Inspections are welcome and encouraged... serious buyers can call me at 310 850 8980 but no tire kickers please. I'm open to interesting trades (within ebay guidelines) but no projects or junk please.

IMPORTANT:

I have tried to describe this vehicle as accurately and honestly as possible but please remember it is a used vehicle. As with any vehicle, (new or used) there may be issues that I have overlooked or am unaware of. If you are not familiar with purchasing used vehicles and or specialty vehicles or you have not purchased a vehicle using the Internet, PLEASE do your research, ask questions, make sure you are comfortable with me as a seller, the vehicle, and the process. Unless stated otherwise, I cannot verify actual miles and I am not offering a warranty so if you want one, let's discuss it and document it before the purchase is final. Otherwise there is no warranty expressed or implied. THANKS!

I have added some pics of the car currently... I included a pic of fender flares temporarily mounted as this is the direction I will go with the car if not sold this week... just as an option. THANKS!
