1973 Datsun Z-Series Description

This is a 1973 Datsun 240Z I picked up with 3 other early Zs up in the Northwest recently .All longtime sitters. This one last on the road in 2014.We drained the tank, changed fluids, plugs, new battery etc Fired right up and runs and drives slick as can be.Someone put a lot of money into this , then did not drive it much before storage. Has been lowered with new coils and struts, front and rear under sway bars with poly bushings, new Nissan diff mount, 4 piston front Toyota calipers, front and rear upper top strut braces, short throw 5 speed tranny, 15 inch aluminum mags, front and rear spoilers,Weber downdraft carbs, custom steering wheel,etc..No history if they went thru the stock L24 engine, but it is healthy, great compression and winds up nicely. And idles smooth as can be. No rear bumper for that clean look. Cut front bumper. Pretty nice stock interior. Few cracks on dash which has a mat on it. Seats not bad with few loose seams. Not bad door panels.Aftermarket stereo. Car has some rust and bubbling here and there. Nothing serious but it is not Arizona rustfree. Some bubbling around rear wheel wells.Deep rust on drivers floor at the turn up at the firewall which goes thru along that turn.in places.. Rockers are nice. lower fenders, spare tire floor also clean and nice. This car was factory silver. Great Z color. But someone, sometime decided to get creative and paint the rear from the door A posts back thick black laquer with some kind of weird bluish graphics up front. All of which should be taken off sometime and brought back to the factory silver.Or you may like the artwork and carry on with it. There are are places in the black paint down to the primer. There are some lacquer checking cracks on the roof. It really needs to be stripped and repainted to be really nice. This Z will not take much to be a everyday driver. I have driven it around the block, to the car wash and such and it runs and drives fine. A little stiff with the suspension but if you are thinking of building up an early Z, much has been done already to this one. This will be a great 240Z to work with. Go back to stock or keep building it up. Or run it like it is and work on it later, Clean straight title.I travel around mostly the West Coast and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. I can arrange shipping to Long Beach California shippers for export for $300 no problem .I get over to CFR Rinkens, Shumacher, etc quite often. No bidders with less than 10 feedback unless you contact me first. No games. No bid then have to ask the wife. Basically,no BS.500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. Balance within 7 days
