1983 Datsun Z-Series 2+2 Description

This 1983 Datsun 280ZX is finished in Dark Brown Metallic over a tan interior and is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Originally sold in California and stayed here since new. It does have aftermarket exhaust that sounds absolutely amazing. It was acquired by the seller in May of 2019 from the original owner. It as a GL-package example, optioned with leather and suede seating, a digital instrument panel, and T-tops. This car has been meticulously maintained by both the original and current owner. All records are accounted for from the original purchase date. This 280ZX is now offered with service records, books and literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name (good through 4/2021). The paint is original and in great condition. The 2.8 L inline-six is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Work within the past few years included installation of a new alternator, timing chain, Bosch fuel injectors, starter assembly, fuel line,valve-cover gasket, and belts and hoses, as detailed on invoices presented in the gallery. The washer-fluid reservoir corroded and no longer functions needs to be replaced, the sensor works and is notifying the issue on the dash. There is a small depression in the passenger rear quarter panel also shown in the gallery. The black exterior B pillar covers were painted gold by the previous owner, they could be painted black or replaced with NOS. Overall this example is in remarkable shape for a 37 year old Datsun. It is extremely fun to drive. It feels well connected, puts a smile on your face. As well as everyone who sees it. You get a lot of thumbs up, and "hey nice car" comments when out and about.
