1956 DeSoto Fireflite Convertible V-8 Hemi Powered. I have owned this great example of a 1956 DeSoto Fireflite convertible for 20 years. It was purchased from a good friend who had owned it for 15 years himself. It has been garage kept and babied for all these years. It has only seen 79,000 miles in its life. It 's a great survivor with modest restoration including; correct shell pink paint, correct white leather and rose cloth interior, and rechromed bumpers. This car drives nicely with original 330 V-8 Hemi and powerflite automatic transmission. Body was very straight without damage when stripped to paint. Stainless trim and original chrome are very nice. There are a few minor chips in paint on the hood and one small crack in chrome on hood. Overall this a beautiful car that could be enjoyed for weekend driving or car shows. The pink and the chrome are definitely head turners, always drawing a crowd when driven. This car is 60 years old and is in very nice condition for its age. Paint, interior, and some of the chrome has been restored. Drive train is original but seems to run quietly and smoothly. Brakes have been rebuilt. Power top works well. Radio and clock do not work. Very small chip or crack in windshield about 1/2" long. It was there when I bought the car and is has not changed. I tried to get a picture but it did not show. Car has super nice body. This car is very nice but not perfect. Feel free to inspect car at any time. Vehicle will be sold as is and may be picked up in Jefferson, TX.
