1955 Desoto FireDome Hemi survivor ready to cruze.

Car was bought new at local dealer in 1955, son drove to high school graduated 1963, died last yr. at age of 72! Car has been in dry storage at home garage since 1978 (last licensed). I purchased from family in June and have gone through mechanics of car fuel system new hoses front and rear, rebuilt carburetor, new plugs and ignition wires, sealed power steering pump, new radiator and hoses, replaced broken exhaust manifold, new dual exhaust system, 2”: lower block in rear and dropped front. Almost new Toyo radial tires with Porta walls and new Polara wheel covers. Rebuilt all 6-wheel cylinders and new hoses, has factory power brakes. This car is very solid and rust free with exception of lower rear qtrs. you can see in pictures. Drivers floor has minimal rust under drivers feet ~ nothing to hide!

This car has almost all its original paint but you can see some spot repair from past. The chrome grill and front bumper are in excellent original condition. All the stainless is in very good condition and what does have damage is very restorable. All pot metal pieces ~ tail light bezels trunk and hood ornaments, and headlight bezels are in excellent none pitted condition.

The dash and steering wheel are in excellent original condition ~ all gauges and horn work as well as lighting.car still has original upholstery under seat covers and driver seat needing repair. Original carpet in back seat area and rubber in front. original headliner in tach showing minor patina all glass is in good condition (tinted) but door panels needing some repair ~ how good you want it ~ excellent cruiser as is ~ tranny works good but leaks ~ motor runs good with light smoke and blow by ~ car sat for 39 yrs.! ~ it’s awesome. Biggest problem ~ it’s got too many doors!
