1947 DeSoto S11 Deluxe Description

1947 DeSoto Deluxe 4 door sedan. Overall, it's a good solid restorable car or an excellent parts car. It's complete, solid and a very rust free Nevada car. We did have it running a few years ago, and it should run again with a tune up; the motor turns freely by hand.

We did drive it around the rural property it's located on and the Fluid Drive transmission seemed to work and shift fine. The engine did not have any odd noises or smoke and in fact sounded solid and strong.

The trunk and floor pans are very solid and rust free, as is the area below the tail lights. These are known rust areas on these cars!

Most of the glass is intact and there, it is missing a rear quarter window. The air cleaner and radiator are there and are in the trunk. The chrome is in remarkably good shape for the age, especially the grille. While it's not show quality, it is very nice and excellent for a driver. All other trim and bright work appear to be in good condition.

These cars are getting harder and harder to find, especially rust free and complete. This car would be an easy restoration or could help complete a restoration that you need a parts car for.
