1961 Dodge Lancer 770 - ALL ORIGINAL - California Car
1961 Dodge Lancer 770 Description
1961 Dodge Lancer 770 for sale
All original down to the dealership license plate frame and keys. I'm the second owner. I have had this baby for 13 years prior to that it belonged to an older man who kept it garaged. After he passed his wife sold it to me.
California car since '61, no body rot/cancerous rust. The registration is paid until April of next year.
She's a four door slant 6 with a push button transmission. The engine is solid, gas lines have been replaced, gas tank was sand blasted and restored, thecarburetor was rebuilt, new generator, radiator rebuilt, new head gaskets, new drum brakes and tires, electrical is good. She starts right up and runs well. There is an aftermarket seat belt for the driver. An aftermarket CD player was added under the front bench seat in 2004.
All the chrome is there. She needs some new paint but I have the original paint chips to match. The numbers indicate that she is frosted mint poly. The original manuals and a sweet Motor Trend magazine which features the car from 1961 will be included. The interior does need work because the existing interior is all original. Foam kits for the seats can be found online and the upholstery just needs to be copied. The carpet is in pretty great shape considering it's original too. Last time I check the kits for that could be found online. The headliner needs some attention. The trunk is pretty large and has the original rubber. The heater works well. These cars sell for anywhere from $17,000-$22,000 in the US when restored.
I hate to sell my first car but I've got too many. Looking for a good home for this baby. She is rare and now a collector car. She's alsoone of the very first compact cars.
