1969 Dodge Charger RT 440 4 Speed
1969 Dodge Charger RT Description
This was my Father's car for 30+ years and I will do my best to describe all of the features on it. I am not a car guy and do not know most of the finer details. That being said, I can provide further pictures or send you the dyno sheet or other information on the parts installed on the engine of the car. I have them all saved as PDF documents. I will try to answer any questions to the best of my ability, but this is not my forte at all.
This is a 1969 Carger 440 RT that we stroked to 500 cubic inches. The engine was completely overhauled in 2008 and runs like a dream. It needs to be driven and not sit stored away in a garage. From the dyno sheet at 3200 RPMs, there is 537.3 FT-LBS of Torq, C PWR CHP at 327.3, and BSFC #/HrHP at .552.
According to the spec sheet, the engine has 213459 SRP Pistons, 6.760 K1 H Rod, 4.150 K1 Crankshaft, and 1009 Fel Pro Head Gaskets, Proform Street Carb, and an MSD 6AL-2 Ignition Control PN 6421. Just under $10,000.00 was put into this since 2008. The bulk of which was in the engine. Off the top of my head, I know that we put on aluminum heads, dual electric fans in the radiator, painted the engine and engine bay. I have the list of all theparticularengine items that I would be happy to send you.

The paint was done 25 years ago and has some spots starting to show on the rockers under each door towards the front corner. Also, the neck that connects to the gas tank has worn out and it leaks if the tank is over half full. It was on our to do list to drop the tank and replace the connector piece. Aside from a few cosmetics on the paint, and replacing the connector to the gas tank, this car is flawless and runs and drives great. We put new tires on the car in 2012, Cooper Cobra G/T P215/70/R15 in the front and Cooper Cobra G/T P255/60/R15 in the back.
