BODYWORK/TRIM

Is there any cooler pigment than this Super Bee's shockingly smooth Hi Impact Butterscotch 2-stage? As one of the more subdued and scarce hues to come out of Chrysler's hip, brighter is better' mindset, he car's rare code 96 yellow is some of the crispest paint to ever adorn classic MoPar metal. Naturally, he fall-like hue looks right at home highlighting this authentic A12's documented, ut-and-bolt restoration. When applied under a vivid Super Bee stripe and buffed to a show worthy shine, t becomes an absolutely fantastic reminder as to just how cool Detroit's golden era really was. And overall, his Dodge rolls as a high-gloss visual masterpiece which oozes the bare knuckle confidence and old school appeal that made Chrysler street warriors the stuff of legend!

The A12 Package was Chrysler's very successful bid at creating a street legal platform for drag racers. That meant, fter being beat on weekend after weekend, ost of these MoPar track warriors were retired to the unglamorous existence of field decoration or barn furniture. Naturally, inding a top-notch A12 is a pretty rare occurrence. In fact, his killer Coronet was rare from the get-go, s, y the time all was said and done, hrysler had only produced roughly 150 auto-equipped WM23M hardtops. At the front of this classy coupe, bee-branded grille hangs four halogen headlights above a fresh chrome bumper and clear parking lamps. Behind that grille, lightweight hood centers a forward-facing scoop, hich wears bright "SIX PACK" scripts, n the middle of four stainless pins and smooth black paint. Above that hood, inted glass rides between satin wipers, ristine stainless frames and fresh, ratzog-branded vinyl. Below that glass, lab-sided body panels hang traditional door handles amid bright wheel trim, lear marker lamps and a correct chrome mirror. And at the back of the car, black valance centers a bold "DODGE" script and factory-fresh taillights between stainless exhaust tips, small Bee emblem and a second chrome bumper.

More popular than Chrysler's famed Hemi, nd almost as feared, odge's storied 440 SIX PACK was designed to be the industry's best combination of comfort, treetability and big block performance. Oxygen whips through functional cowl induction to a correctly decaled air cleaner and three original Holleys, hich are bolted to a correct Edelbrock intake. The aforementioned RB V8 funnels power to an original A727 TorqueFlite, hich hangs a matching partial VIN behind a 2,500 RPM stall converter. That transmission twists a correct Dana 60 axle, hich spins a posi-traction differential around 3.54 gears. Below that proven drivetrain, heavy duty front torsion bar and rear leaf suspension has been completely rebuilt to include a correct sway bar, orrect 'uneven' leaf springs and correct 11-inch brakes. Above that proven drivetrain, ver-restored floors have been layered in glossy Butterscotch 2-stage and dressed with everything from a new stainless fuel tank to fresh stainless fluid lines. Exhaust is handled by free-flowing, .5-inch pipes, hich jettison cooked dinosaurs through an H-shape crossover and traditional turbo mufflers. And torque meets the pavement through correct 'H code' wheels, hich spin authentic looking G70-15 Goodyear Custom Wide Tread redlines around Gloss Black paint and chrome lug nuts.
