This truck is "RUST FREE" from the state of Washington.. Dodge RamD250, 3/4 Ton Pickup Truck.. The 1981 was YEAR ONEfor the Dodge Ram.. There is some serious money spent on this truck.. The Truck has brand new Firestone tires all the way around, 10 ply Load Range E.. New windshield and chromed widow strippinginstalled by Safe-Lite Auto Glass just prior to this winter, all good glass, all working, windows go up and down.. What I did not do yet is put a shiny new rear chrome bumper on the truck.. The tail light lenses arebrand new..Is the truck show ready, no.. Would I drive it down main street in the local antiquecar & truck parade, all day long..This is a "RUST FREE" truck .. I have a newset ofBLUE LED dash lights for that true old schoolMopar look..
This is more of a collectors kind of truck, it's a real simple, back to basics, old school truck and that's why I bought it..3 weeks later and I'm on eBay and I end up buyinga red 03 Ram 3500, and then we have a car..Anything onthis truckcan bought at any auto store,if they don't have the part in the store they will have it the next day..This would be an excellent RV puller, I know I have over 15 years of full time pulling RV's about the country..
360 V8, Automatic Trans.. Power Brakes, Power Steering,stockAM/FM radio..
Last fall I purchased the truck in Kennewick Washington, where there is no rust from winter salt.. I then paid an auto transport company to deliver it to me here in Berlin, WI.. Feel free to contact me about shipping if needed..
I would ask that you come kick the tires and talk truck.. In one photo you can see my other Dodgetruck parked on the other side of the street (RED)..
Just prior to this last winter I replaced the engines lifters & pushrods, cam & cam bearings, timing chain & timing chain gears.. I have rebuilt the distributer with a new pick up coil, ballast resister, electric control module, distributer cap, and a new coil.. I have new custom blue spark plug wires and champion spark plugs.. In addition to all of that I added a new Holley Carb.. I replaced the ECU wiring with a new MOPAR ECU plug and wires.. Less mess, looks great and better than what came stock, keepingold wires that have sat on a hot engine for 36 years justis notcool.. The new wires from the ECU to the Distributer are heavily insulated against heat..
Looking at the photo's you can see this is a pretty nice truck, with a ton of money put into it.. The paint is good, the dash is not cracked & looks great..
I started working on the truck just as winter hit.. I did a bit more work recently but have yet to finish the job due to our Wisconsin weather.. I have been a mechanic for 40 years, and a Mopar / Dodge guy all my life and know my trucks..
The truck will need a seat cover.. It was driven onto the auto transport trailer & I drove the truck into my driveway.. The truck was not driven since then, as I noted I have yet to finish installing the new spark plug wires, and I need to replace the water pump gasket..
I like to keep everything on the up & up,this classic truck as listed, as it is a 36 year old truck it is being sold "AS-IS".. In addition the truck is being sold where it sits.. If you require shipping I do have an account with U-Ship & can have it transported to you at your expense.. I have done this for others..
I have been asked why I'm selling the truck, 2 heart attacks in 3-4 months, I can't take it with me, and my wife has her own car.. Please feel free to follow me here on eBay as I will be listing some boats, and maybe my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 as seen in my photosparked on the opposite side of the street..
I have this for sale locally..
