1963 Dodge W200 Power Wagon
1963 Dodge Power Wagon W200 Description
This auction is for the 1963 Dodge W200 Power Wagon shown the the 24 photographs accompanying this auction. These are the actual photographs of the actual 1963 Dodge W200 PW taken by me for this auction. I hope that these photos show the true condition of this great old truck.
The floor pan on the drivers side was reinforced prior to my ownership, the passenger side not and both are shown in thephotos. The odometer has been stuck at 64,141.4 for many years..
It is almost mechanically original and the serial numbers match. The 318 cu in engine uses a little oil, but is strong. The 420 New Process 4 spd transmission has no Syncro issues and the 1st gear, a granny gear will pull a load strongly forward at a walking pace.
Instruments/ gages have over time stopped working, only the AMP meter works now and I noticed today that the head light switch has stopped working. All the glass is original and in excellent shape, the door rubber mouldings and window channels are basically gone. I replaced the windshield rubber in 2006, I believe.
I have owned this truck since 1991 and I built the wooden bed that is on the truck today. The truck has been very reliable and has been an asset to the many work related projects that I used it for. I have only used the 4WD / locking hubs once and that was probably 20 years ago. They worked perfectly then, but were stiff to engage as I recall...
The last year that it was registered with DMV was 2007. Since then it has only been driven on my property, used very little and although never abused, it has been somewhat neglected. The truck starts, runs and stops, but I wouldn't consider it safe to be driven for even a short distance fordeliverywithout some pre-trip repairs being done first. The truck is available for local pickup and can easily be driven onto a suitable trailer.
