1970 Dodge Charger Description

1970 Dodge Charger RT Project Car-Overall Solid Car

1970 Dodge Charger RT XS29U0GXXXXXX Project car-Originally 440 Auto AC car-No buildsheet. No fender tag. No motor. No Tranny.

Someone has changed items over the years on this one too-the original steering column is long gone. It has a steering column in it and another one has been acquired to use with a console automatic. What you see in the pictures is what you get. If you don’t see it in the pictures than it is not included in the sale. It has a set of 70 B Body Bucket seats and the rear seat. We have an original rear window defroster in the parts included. See pictures for the misc. parts included in the sale. We acquired the car to build as a resto mod so we didn’t care about missing or changed items.

The body has extremely solid structure-the floors and wheel houses look very solid-the center of the trunk floor needs to be replaced. It has rust and is missing large areas of the center of the trunk floor but the rest appears solid. The passenger quarter panel definitely needs to be replaced. I would blast the car to see exactly what needs to be replaced but overall it is an extremely solid piece. I would say both quarter panels should be replaced but you may be able to save the driver side. There is a noticeable rust hole where the quarter and trunk lid meet on the driver side. There is a rust hole where the roof & sail panel meet near the drip rail on the driver side. The rear window area will need rust repair. It has all the typical rust issues that a Charger is known for but the overall structure is extremely solid. You will not be disappointed with this one, it is a great starter car for a project.

We acquired the car to build for a client but he has since backed out of the build. We had a very cool resto mod project designed that included Detroit Speed Engineering Suspension and a Hellcat Engine. I am including the concept rendering we had completed for the project. We currently have a Hellcat project in the shop so getting another engine and making it run is not an issue for us.

We will sell the car as is or we would be happy to finish it for someone to their specs. Please feel free to call me with any questions at eight one three 789 six one seven nine.
