1966 Dodge 8 door Panel Van Hippy Windowless Cruiser
1966 Dodge A100 Description
The old van is in good restorable condition. It has some rust, but it's mostly on the outer skins as pictured. The drivetrain is all intact, but I don't know the condition. The motor does turn over, so my guess is that it will run, I just don't know how well - hope for the best, but expect the least. It has been sitting untouched for many years, so expect the kind of work that is required to remedy the effects of long periods of inoperability, i.e. brakes, fluids, tires, door latches that have stiffened up and may have broke, (or will if copious amounts of WD-40 isn't used before working them loose), hornets nests, etc. etc..The fun part is that it is the opitomy of the van era, and it will bring out the Hippy that is still hiding in you!! It has the only split windshield style of the '60s that was built in the USA. The 8 door style is super rare and desirable for the flow through design; much cooler, literally! It has a straight front axle mounted on leaf springs from the factory, so you can lift it or lower it very easily. While the large majority of these vans were equipped with the slant 6 engine and standard transmission, this one came with a V8! That means the rich, mellow tones of dual exhaust! There is also an automatic transmission for your driving pleasure. It just doesn't get any better than this for this style of van. The old van movement seems to be starting to make it's comeback. Grab this one before the prices go through the roof like muscle cars did during that revival! Remember our car history? The van movement came right after the muscle car movement. I'm listing this for my friend Kim. If you have any questions at all, ask me through ebay, and if I don't know the answers, I'll get them from him. We want you to be happy with your purchase.
