1956 Dodge Other Pickups Custom Description

This is a really solid, good old truck...It runs good and it never fails to turn heads as it passes by. That's not to say it is perfect, there are some little things the new owner may want to address. It starts, drives, and stops just as it should, and could easily be someone's daily driver. The truck is good just as it is, but as most of us already know, the type of guy whobuys acool oldvintagetruck such as thiswill want to add his own personal little touches...So there remaina few easytasks to satisfy the weekend mechanic urgesthat many of usexperience. The odometer says 94K, but that should not worry anyone. The V8 engine runs smooth and strong, does not smoke, and does not create any oilspots on my garage floor, which makes me think it may have either been rebuilt some time in the past and/or someone took really good care of it. It also has a New coil, new plugs, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt brake master cylinder, and new front wheel brake cylinders. The four speed transmission works fine and shifts good. The heater and fan work. Most of the lights work including the headlights, tail light, brake light, the roof mounted searchlight articulates and is very bright, and the inside dash panel/guagelights all work. As you can see from the pictures, the truck has several tail lights on the rear end, and some of the tail lights either need new bulbs and/or re-attached wiring...an easy Saturday afternoon job if you wish. This is originally a Wyoming and Colorado truck. Both states are somewhat dry with low humidity, and as such, the body and other metal are solid with no rusted through areas including the floorboard. The good-looking, high-visibility, Wrap-around windshield and wrap-around rear window glass are in perfect condition as are the door windows...no cracks or chips. The oil guage, temperature guage, and amp guage all work, but the fuel guage does not. The electric wipers sometimes skip a beat, and I think tightening up the linkage will fix them. The tires hold air and are driveable but are somewhat worn. The seat is in good condition with no tears. The paint is not the best, but still makes the truck a head-turner and looks good from 10 feet away. The parking brake was disconnected for some reason by a past owner. I have been driving it without a park brake, and I have the original brake housing if someone wants to make it functional again. The original oil-bath air cleaner is missing and I have been using a clamp-on after-market one with paper filter. The new owner can decide if he wants an original style oil-bath filter (available on ebay and various other websites), or a clamp-on air cleaner, also available on-line. The original 1956 owner's manual and original service certificate are included.

This truck is a really good old classic...Perfect for someone who wants a nostalgic piecefrom the50's that is Good To Go right now, and who would also like to drive and maintain an easy to understand, and easy to work on, beautiful old truck. Unlike some of the listings I've seen, the "Buy-It-Now" price is realistic, and I have also set a Low Starting Price with No Reserve to ensure a sale will take place to some lucky guy or gal. Please Feel free to email me with any questions you may have and good luck bidding!

On Sep-03-17 at 10:12:15 PDT, seller added the following information:

Several bidders have asked what is the "Buy-It-Now" price. I Don't know why the "Buy-It-Now" price isn't showing up. It shows that I set it up when formatting the listing, but I don't know why it isn't showing on the listing itself, and I can't reach Ebay until after the Holiday weekend, which is certainly frustrating. The "Buy-It-Now" price should be $7500, and I will see if I can get it fixed Monday or Tuesday.
