Up for auction or Buy it Now is this one of a kind- Restored Semi Custom 1989 Dodge D-150 LE. This Beautiful Dodge Truck is my Personal Prize Possession but I think it's time for another restoration project and to pass her on to someone else that will love her as much as my wife and I have......And yes, I got my wife's permission:) This truck turns heads and everybody wants it! I restored this baby about 4yrs. ago with only about 10K on it now. I have invested over $15,000 in a documented invoice work folder included and about $3,000 misc. with $0.00 labor charges except for paint which I color-sanded and buffed out to glass myself.....NO ORANGE-PEAL!!! All the rest of the work was also done myself. The truck has been garage kept since her restoration and my wife and/or I drive it to town maybe every other week or so. As I said before.....I Extensively Restored her about 4yrs. ago. No Rustouts!!! Solid & Clean!!! Everything is new or rebuilt. The original 318 had to be replaced with a brand new long block because the original one had cracks between all cylinders. When I bought the truck almost 10yrs. ago I found that someone had installed a small salvage yard 3 speed transmission out of a "No Tellin'" that failed about 5yrs. later. I installed the correct Brand New A-518 overdrive where it belongs and the lockout for the overdrive works perfectly as it should with an added trans cooler. I completely rebuilt the front end and overhauled the differential, gears and axles are in perfect shape with "0" wear. There's so much to list I forgot half of it. Her 318 C.I. 5.2L Power-plant is solid and mostly Stock. TBI has been rebuilt and all E-valves sensors/ect. have been replaced. She is running a hotter Ignition, 8.2mm Thunderbolt wires, Stainless Shorty Block Huger Headers, HP Starter, and real true dual exhaust between the body and frame straight out the back with stainless tips all welded. There are no header or exhaust leaks here!.....And she sounds like a Purrin' Tiger. This truck has it all for an 89 LE which was the top of the line Dodge Ram back in the day. New everything......Windscreen, rubber boots and boot locks, Markers H&T Lights, grill inserts, stainless plating stripped from the Grill Surround and the Aluminum polished to a mirror reflection, bumpers, power mirrors, Power window motors, power locks, New fender-well arches, complete brake rebuild, cylinders, lines, rotors, drums ......fresh shoes and pads installed about 2 months ago. This is just some to list. The pics will help tell it all. I completely stripped the interior and gave it a custom modern upgraded look. Everything has been completely reworked. If you look up a stock OEM interior you can clearly see the difference. I wanted the interior to have more of a sporty look, while leaving the overall castings of the dash, gauge cluster, door panels, and trim moldings stock, the seat upholstery cover is not OEM but has been properly hog-ringed in the right way for longevity. The two tone black/grey with Birch wood, added chrome trim, and LED assisted lighting sets it all off with a very nice balance. Now....One common problem Mopar had as the years went by was the fuse wire link system. As these very soft wires aged they would become dry, brittle, short-out and fail, commonly designed with a replaceable booting system on the driver fender and firewall, they could be replaced by the dealer back then......Not anymore! So I completely redesigned the system and replaced it all with an LED Digital Power Distribution Center with all of the fuses at your convenience. All new cars today run this style system age free. Truck is still assisted with her original ECM. and works great! Everything is in operating condition on this Gorgeous Ram even the cruse control, but there are 4 things I can think of you must know. 1.)The AC has been converted from r12 to r134a. The compressor runs a little louder but not much. All AC components are around 7yrs old, inspected and all seals replaced during re-installation .....All work perfectly. 2.) Now....You cannot start the truck without the key, but the key can be removed after the truck is running and you need the key to shut it down. I never cared about this because it turned into a lazy convenience. If I needed my keys for something else like a gate lock or a PO Box or something, I could just leave the truck running.....No shut down and restart....Lazy I know.....but nice!:) 3.) The BFGoodrich Tires aren't Brand new but still have plenty of tread for a couple more years or so. 4.) New Engine bay splash guards need to be installed. Well....I hope I explained everything to your liking. Please message me for any questions. There are plenty of dodge trucks out there, but the D-150 LE's that have been restored to this class or true survivors are far and few between and are going up fast. I've only seen a few that meet this grade. I didn't build this truck to win any shows, but I've taken it to several.....She was always the Top Dodge there in her class for condition. While engine and drive-train parts are readily available, the rest are not. LMC Truck is just now expanding their 1st generation dodge truck inventory. NOS Parts are very expensive. A small piece of trim can cost over $100.00 The Rare NOS Ram Head for the hood are up to $300.00 Oh' I forgot to mention....All "LE" trim package & power is all original except the well arches from LMC Truck. I hope you enjoyed the info, If I forgot something please ask. Thank you for looking and good luck on the bidding! Truck will be detailed and ready.....Has a Fresh Oil Change......
