1950 dodge pickup truck
1950 Dodge Other Pickups Description
I had put my truck on a few months ago and got seller's remorse and took it off. It had already met the low reserve I had on. I WILL sell it this time if the reserve is met. I have placed the reserve at a very reasonable level. Here are a few of the things I have done on the truck and I am sure I am forgetting some. There are only two VERY small places that have any filler in them. There were two small places at the back of the cab on each side. I have not replaced any of the rubber anywhere, but I do have it that will go with the truck. It still has the 6 volt system and the truck is totally original with the exception of the paint. Engine, transmission all original. Has Coker white sidewall tires. The mileage listed is approximately what is on the speedometer and what shows on the title, but I have no way of knowing how accurate it is.1. new brakes all the way around including wheel cylinders, shoes, etc.2. new gas tank3. new plug wires and plugs4. seat recovered5. new headliner6. new radio7. repainted8, new exhaust9. added turn signals and stoplight10. replaced wood in bed (now oak)11. added side boards (also oak)12. new badging13. new tailgate hinges and chains14. rubber floor mat15. new battery16. fabricated front grillAs you can see in the pictures there is no rust on the truck. The paint job is OK, but not without flaws. The interior is excellent and all gauges work as does the manual choke and throttle. The truck has won at some car shows but it is not what I would classify as a show truck. It is very much a driver and I do drive it almost every day when the weather cooperates. I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. Reason for selling? I have another classic car along with motor cycle and just can't justify keeping everything. Not enough time to enjoy all the toys.
