1970 dodge charger - All new stuff - Awesome car
1970 Dodge Charger Description
1970 Dodge Charger, R/T clone. Recent restoration on a solid original 383 car, I still have the numbers matching engine if you want it. But we replaced with a 440. The restoration started in 2014 finished in 2017, Built 440 with Holley intake, Edlebrock heads, Holley carb, roller rocker, all in all a nice engine build by Dyno Don out of Houston. The trans is a rebuilt numbers matching 727 with a shift kit, and the rear end is a rebuilt with green bearings sure grip 8 3/4. Converter is 2800, so just right for the street/cruising and still having a little fun smoking tires. Dual new exhaust, added a B&M shifter and a custom center console and left the "buddy seat" in place to rest your arm while cruising. Added ice cold Gen IV Vintage Air AC. All new interior including the expensive door tops and rear seat tops etc. All new rubber seals. All the chrome was re-done on this car and all the Stainless was polished. This car is such an attention getter, people freak out. Disc front brakes, drum rears. Power steering, brakes I left manual because I like the feel but a booster would be super easy to install if you wanted. Starts right up every time, idles super nice, I had bought an efi kit for it but I've got the carb dialed in so nicely on the O2 sensor mounted under the dash that I just didn't see a need to install it so I used it on something else. Has a bunch of amplifiers and box in the trunk for a stereo. Car has less than 250 miles on it since done, been in a number of shows and events and photo shoots etc. If you don't like attention, do not buy this car, it gets crazy attention even sitting on the trailer.
Note that I am having R/T side scoops installed on the doors for an R/T clone look - if you want the car but don't want those better contact me ASAP cause they are going on within a couple days. Scoops installed included in this auction though.
As with any of my cars I try to tell you everything. There are little things, the headlight motor works but won't stop spinning, it's a simple fix actually but I disconnected the wire and just spin the manual opener if I'm going to drive at night. The steering gear box does leak, might stop with more use, but just letting you know. The dash gauges I've never trusted on an old car, the aftermarket ones are hooked up. The AC blows ice cold but with all the horsepower plus AC on in super hot weather in a parade it started to go above 200 - so if your in a southern climate and going to do parades with the AC on you might want to upgrade to the 4 core Champion Radiator or pop a high cfm electric fan to augment the mechanical.
This is a get in and go fast super nice car, and I spent a lot of money having folks build it.
Please check my feedback as a seller, I sell good high dollar stuff, serious inquiries and buyers only please. The 1970 Chargers are getting expensive to build - Thanks for looking.
