1971 Dodge Challenger Description

Up for auction is my '71 Dodge Challenger. I just bought a new Scat Pack Challenger and need to sell either this car or my Road Runner. Love them both equally, but one needs to go, so I am going to try this one first.
I bought this car a few years ago as a solid driver. It needed a lot though. The car didn't have any rust, but the motor ran sluggish, the electronics were horrible, and a few other things that are typical with older cars. I'll try to address everything I did over the last three or so years to this car. It has been in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia since new. I am the fourth owner.
I went ahead and pulled the motor to inspect and do what was needed to bring this 440 back to life. The inside of the block was incredibly clean, the cylinder walls were still standard bore and slick as glass. We polished the crank and balanced the rotating assembly. New cam bearings, rod bearings and main bearings. New push rods, new rings, double roller timing chain (Cloyes), windage tray and oil pump. New lifters and Comp Cams Extreme Energy Camshaft (21-223-4). New standard bore Seal Power 440 Six Pack Pistons. New valve springs and valve job. New Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and new Holley Six Pack carbs. New electronic ignition, along with new plugs and wires. New belts and hoses. This motor was built pretty much to stock 440 Six Pack specs. The cam shaft is a tad bigger than stock. Sounds great, but not radical. HP exhaust manifolds (Sand blasted/recoated). New 26" 3-core radiator. Power steering pump is new. The 727 T/F transmission was inspected and serviced. There is a new TCI 2400 Stall Converter and a new B & M flex plate. New brake lines, front and rear. Brakes were rebuilt as needed. New wheel cylinders, etc. Manual brakes, but stops very nicely and in a straight line. I had the car aligned when I put the new BFG's on. The tires are 235/60's in the front and 255/60's in the back. The 15" rallye wheels and trim rings are new. When I bought the car there were 14's on all four corners. An 8 3/4 rear end with 3:23 gears.
New Moog upper/lower ball joints, new Moog tie rod ends, new Moog idler arm, new Moog upper/lower control arm bushings, new Moog strut rod bushings and new Moog sway bar end links. New KYB shocks up front and Monroe shocks out back.
Windows rolled up and down terribly when I bought the car. I put in new window bushings/guides and lubed the right places. Windows go up and down effortlessly. The doors sagged a little when I got the car. I rebuilt the door hinges. The doors latch with the push of a finger. New wiring harnesses were installed (steering column and headlight), along with new speedometer cable and emergency brake cable and related parts. A new fuel sending unit was installed. Glass is nice with no chips, fogging or major scratches.
The interior is nice driver quality. No rips or tears. I put on a new tough wheel steering wheel. Feels great! The horns are also new. Initially, I put the original horns on, but they sounded tired. The new ones sound good and are louder than stock. ALL lights, turn signals, reverse lights, hi-beams, hi-beam indicator, dash/console/dome lights work as they should. New oil pressure/temp gauge under dash. Original radio is there, but does not work. Challenger R/T floor mats.
The body is rust free. This Challenger was restored years ago. The paint was ok driver quality when I bought it, but also too nice for a repaint. Between clay bar, light sanding/buffing/polishing and waxing, this paint is now nice driver quality with some imperfections/touch ups, but still very nice! I put a new vinyl top on. No rust or bubbling underneath the vinyl. The front/rear bumpers are new. Trunk is very nice, as is the underside of the car. Have 15" rallye spare and restored jack parts in trunk. New chin spoilers and new "71-correct" Gull-Wing with correct deck lid brackets. New hood pins. Grill is nice with no cracks. Tail panel is also nice. Car will need a correct gas cap, as the current one fits tightly (although it looks correct).
This car runs, drives and stops very nicely. I bought this car to keep. I put a ton of time and a lot of quality parts towards this car. A friend has an unrestored/untouched Challenger that served as a guide in doing certain things to this car. I undercoated certain areas as his was, leaving most of the body colored paint showing underneath. It was the way I wanted. It looks factory. The car has no fluid leaks of any kind, no rattles, funny noises or smells. Exhaust is stock sounding (turbo mufflers). This is not the original motor. It was a G code from the factory. I don't think you will find a nicer big block six pack/barrel 70/71 E body for what I am asking. The color combination is awesome and the stance of this car is just plain bad. Please call anytime with questions. My name is Andy. My cell is 706-836-4410. If you come to look at this car, you will buy it (if you are a serious buyer). Not a showroom perfect car, but a very nice car! Serious bidders only. If you have less than 10 feedback, please call before bidding. Shipping is buyers responsibility. Don't need help selling this car. No telemarketers. If it sells, great. If not, I'll give the Road Runner a shot, but like I said...one of them needs to go! A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours after the auction ends. If you come to pick up the car and don't like it, you can have the deposit back, less the listing fee. Thanks

Have had a few requests for more pictures. If you'd like closer, or more specific pictures of certain areas, call or text. I have a video of me leaving my driveway in the car. It's at night, but you can hear the car run. I took this a few months ago before I knew I was going to sell. Thanks
