Dodge 1964 D200 bigblock 440, tradesman Utiline, original owner
1964 Dodge Other Pickups D200 Utiline Tradesman, work truck Description
This 1964 work truck has lived its whole life on my grandparents' ranch in Northern California. It was one many trucks kept on the ranch, and it passed from my grandpa to my dad, and now to me. I’m not a car or truck person, and I can’t care for it or keep it. It’s selling as part of my dad’s estate. Over the last 25 years it was used primarily to pull my dad’s motorboat to the lake and back, and maybe to do an occasional rental repair. It’s mostly been kept under covered parking. It’s in very good physical condition, but it needs some work under the hood, or would be a great one for a full restoration. The engine turns over, but the engine smokes, possibly some oil burning and compression loss. It does drive. The brakes need to be repaired. The brakes will work if you pump them, but there is leak in the line. It has a bigger engine, the original 318 was replaced with a 440 in the 70s or 80s. The push-button dash transmission was upgraded to a shift on the floor (P, R, N, 1, 2, D). It was painted blue 15-20 years ago; it used to be pale green. The utility boxes are original, and they are in good shape overall (one has a broken lock). The rust on it is superficial and minimal. No accidents, always registered for use, and rarely used. Minor imperfections (e.g., missing driver's sunshade, nob on gear shift, DODGE letters in front, etc.), but I've tried to point out all that I'm aware of. Selling it as is. Tires and rims are in very good shape (tires are newer with minimal wear) rims were upgraded about 20 years ago. It has a full-sized spare in the bed. It’s a great looking truck, solidly built, a real classic. It really would make a great restoration project. Let me know if you have any questions. I can try to send you some footage of it running, or additional pictures if you message me a request. No shipping. Pickup only. In Sonora/Jamestown, CA. Although it’s currently registered, it’s not been driven much or serviced in the last five years, and the brakes need to be repaired prior to use.Recently inherited from the original owner. Title in my name. Buyer needs to be aware of title, taxes and transfer fees. It has a clear title and recent CA registration. LOW RESERVE! THANKS FOR LOOKING.
