1952 Dodge Meadowbrook nicknamed “Grandpa”. “Grandpa” has been with me since late 2015. I drove it on the trailer when I bought it, drove it off the trailer when I got him home. The engine is a flathead, 230.2 cu in, 6 cylinder. I start it every couple of weeks, squirt a little gas in the carb, starts on first or second crank. Runs at 40 psi oil pressure. “Grandpa” had good brakes when I drove it into the garage, now the brakes are down to the floor and need to be bled. Car is three on the tree, no problem with the clutch. Partially rewired to 12 volt negative ground. Ignition is done, parking light front and back are done, headlight high and low are done. Loose wires in some of the pictures is temporary wiring for the 12 volt conversion. Oil pressure gauge is mechanical, works perfectly. I've temporarily wired in all new switches. My plan was when I had all the wiring complete, tested and working I would then hook everything up to the original switches and gauges. Car has radio and clock, untested. Wiper untested. All will need to be converted to 12 volts. Parts are readily available from Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts.
The pictures do a good job of showing “Grandpa”. The color is a little darker blue. Body is solid, frame is solid. No rust through, no pinholes. Floors have been replaced, there are still a couple of small spots where the new floor pans did a 95% cover. Two small rust holes in the trunk. There is some paint blistering, but, as can be seen from the picture, the car and paint are in amazingly good shape. I have no reason to doubt the paint is original. Look at the pictures for a good view of the interior. Doors and windows open and shut with no problems. Handles work inside and out. Door rubbers are still good. Dash is in nice shape.
Included are all original parts. Cigarette lighter is there, ashtray, heater, lenses (one taillight has a hole) as well as many other parts as shown in the picture. Hood emblems are there (minus one letter in Dodge).
Car has original NY registration.
Car is cross-posted and for sale locally. I reserve the absolute right to sell the car locally and close the sale early.
