1979 Dodge D50 Sport with the2.6 Mitsubishi 4 cylinder engineG54B engine code, sometimes referred to as the " 2.6 HEMI " and Automatic transmission.
Odometer reads 15041, I have no idea exactly how many realmiles truck has on it. This is Neat little truck that has gotten compliments and stares just sitting in the driveway! You just don't see these anymore!
When I purchased this truck it had been sitting for what looks to be about 12 years in a field.
I've done a few things over the last few months since I've acquired it.
It has a new alternato, ignition coil, fuel pump, radiator, cylinder head valve seals and alsonew tires on it. There is a spot in the engine harness that has been repaired, a rodent had eaten into it sometime over the years it was sitting.
I noticed when changing the valve seals the head isan updated version as it no longer has the troublesome jet valve setup on it andthe head was very clean!
Thechoke and secondary diagfram where locked up on the carb when I got it. I removed those items and cleaned up the carb as good as I couldto get it running. Most people replace these carbs with a user friendlyweber carb. ( I have the factory air cleaner)
The A/C compressor is off the truck, but I have it.
Paint is weathered from sitting out in the open for years and enduring the elements, ive noticedthe passenger side seems to have weathered more, im guessing the passenger side took most of elements and sun. I tried to provide close up pics of passenger side.
There are no majors dents and ive see no rustout on the truck, itappears solid.
Interior appears to be all there and original.
Expectinterior to need attention if your wanting to restore, Carpet worn, dash pad has a few cracks, etc.Personally it wouldn't bother me to just leave it as is for a driver. It has the Factory floor shift console with gauges.
Ithave new tail light lenses for itand itpossibly needssome brake work, it stops but feels like old brakes that might need attentionbecause theyhave been sitting for years.
I have driventhis truckbut only down the road a few blocks since it does not have a current inspection or tags. The Engine runs with good oil pressure and the transmission shifted as it should.
I see three ways you could go with this Truck.
1. Fix a few items and make it your daily driver (carb and brakes for sure)
2. Completely Restore is so desired
3. Dropin asmall block Mopar and a V8 904 trans(this truck has what iscalled a baby 904 in it,soitseasy!) and have your self a hot rod truck! ( I have a5.2 magnum if buyer is interested)
I have a Clear Texas Title in my name, I have the owners manual anda few repair manuals that will come withthe truck.
This truck will drive up on a trailer/car hauler with no problem.
This is a Vintage/Used truck unrestored, It is sold as is with no refunds/returns.
Buyer responsible for all shipping/pickup of the truck.
