1969 Dodge Charger Description

I have for sale my 1969 Dodge Charger 383 big block project car. This car is an original 383, automatic, console shift car that was painted the very desirable R4 Red from the factory. It is missing the fender tag and there was no broadcast sheet, therefore other options are unknown. The car is largely complete with most major components present. I would estimate it as 95% complete. Everything included with the car is in the photos of this eBay ad. The body stampings do match the sequence numbers of the VIN. The original motor and transmission are long gone. The car does have 383, 4 barrel with automatic transmission in it. It has an 8.25” roller rear end to make the car mobile. The engine is shiny orange but should be torn down and inspected to see if it needs to be rebuilt. It does spin freely and is not locked up. This car is in my opinion a very good project car. It is worthy and in need of a full restoration. It does have the typical charger rust. However, it is not as bad as you commonly find in second generation project chargers now a days. The quarter panels, trunk floor, rear lower valance, and valance corners will need to be fixed/replaced. However, the floor pans in this car are very nice with the only rust being several small holes in a playing card size spot near the gas pedal. The tail light panel is solid as is the rear window area and will require only minor work or repair. The roof does have pitting in places from having had a vinyl top on it for years with again a couple small playing card size areas that have a few small holes that will need repair. However, replacing the roof skin will not be necessary in my opinion. The frame rails are overall very nice with a small spot of rust approximately 2”x3” on the right side torsion bar cross member and will be an easy repair. The front fenders are usable but do have rust and are not original to the car. All of these areas are fully photographed and can be seen at the photobucket link provided below. The car has been shot with black primer to stabilize it and prevent any surface rust. At the photobucket site, you will find over 500 pics of this car with multiple pics of just about every square inch of the car. The wheels and tires on the car ARE NOT INCLUDED in this auction. It will be sold with roller wheels and tires. I have a clean and clear Oklahoma title for this car. Please, look at all the provided pics at the link below before bidding. The pics are very representative of the cars condition.

Please, ask all questions prior to bidding. Thank you.

There are an additional 500 pics of the car at the following link:

PAYMENT INFORMATION: The car is sold as is, no warranty implied or offered. The successful bidder is required to send a $1000 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction via PayPal (other methods may be used if discussed and agreed upon prior to bidding!). If you are not able or willing to meet these criteria, please do not bid until you have discussed options with me. The balance of the auction is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. I prefer PayPal (for the deposit ONLY) and an electronic funds transfer for the balance. I will not accept PayPal for payment of the balance except under special circumstances that must be agreed on prior to bidding. I’ll accept other forms of payment such as certified bank check or cashier’s check for the balance, but all funds must clear my bank prior to release of the car. I would like the car picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. The buyer is solely responsible for arranging the pickup of the car.

ZERO (0) FEEDBACK AND NON-U.S. BIDDERS: If you are a zero (0) feedback bidder or a non-U.S. bidder you MUST contact me before bidding. I will cancel the bid of any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder that does not contact me prior to bidding. I will require any zero feedback or non-U.S. bidder to provide me with a verifiable physical address and contact information prior to bidding. I realize we were all zero feedback bidders at some point, but unfortunately zero feedback bidders are often also non-paying bidders on automobile auctions.

BIDDER CONFIDENCE: I strive for the most transparent auction possible. As a bidder, you can be confident that the vehicle you are bidding on is described to the best of my ability. I am always happy to provide any perspective bidder my contact information if they wish to speak directly with me on the telephone about the vehicle. If within driving distance, a perspective bidder is welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. I am happy and willing to take any reasonable actions (i.e. additional pictures, telephone conversation, in-person viewing of car prior to conclusion of the auction, etc.) to give the bidder confidence that the vehicle being auctioned is indeed in my possession, for sale, and has been described as accurately as I am able. I will conduct myself in a professional manner throughout the auction process and I will be a prompt communicator via email, telephone or text message.
