1970 Dodge Challenger R/T convertible Numbers matching
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Description
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T convertible, a real on, not a clone. All numbers matching. I have the build sheet, original purchase order and original owner's manual. These are included in a large binder full of receipts and documentation over the years. The car was ordered on 9/27/1969 and delivered in 12/1969. This Challenger is equipped with the original 383 Magnum 4bbl, 4 speed with pistol grip shifter, power steering and power disc brakes and AM FM stereo. From what I was told and verified by the paperwork I am the 3rd owner and I've had the car for 19 years. This is an original FC7 plum crazy car with white interior. The documentation seems to verify that the 62,000 miles are correct.
I bought the car in 2000 and had the car restored in 2011 & 2012. At that time the drivetrain was removed and the entire car was media blasted. The floors and trunk pan were replaced by an award winning body shop.New lower 1/4s and wheelhouses were installed rather than repaired. During body and paint special attention was paid to fender and door gaps and the body is laser straight. A high quality base/clear paint job was done and polished to perfection, the car gets compliments for the paint at every show. During reassembly new bumpers, tri, moldings and decals were installed. The motor and transmission were completely detailed while out and date coded hoses and cables were installed. The exhaust system was replaced. The interior was reassembled and new carpet installed.A quality car cover is included.
This car never was a basket case, it has always been running and driving and in decent condition
The car runs and drives well with no known issues. Everything works although the clock is intermittent .
There is a clear title in my name and the car is currently licensed. The personalized license plates will remain with the car.
