1949 Dodge Coronet WOODIE Description

Up for sale is my wonderful personal Woodie. I have owned this car for almost 20 years. It is original driver. The car was repainted by its original owner in 1950. It has minimum rust and no wood rot. The seats are original and in great shape. It has the original floor mats from 1949 except for the front seat floor that has a replacement mat. Dash is great and all gauges work except gas gauge. It didn’t come with a radio, but someone along the line put one under the dash. It was removed before I purchased the car. The antenna is still on the fender. Glass is great no cracks etc. doors work great and don’t open going around a corner. Windows go up and down and slide as they should. Tailgate works great. One thing for the 1949 Chrysler products was the bumper dropping. These bumpers are impossible to find, but this one has the original. IT EVEN HAS THE ORIGINAL LEATHER ON THE TAILGATE SPRINGS AND THE INSIDE WHEEL WELLS

It is missing the door for the compartment under the middle seat on the left side. Sometimes it doesn’t want to go into low range. It has fluid drive and shifts fine without the clutch as it should. The gas tank should be cleaned at some point because of the f ing ethanol. The engine has never been rebuilt and you can’t hear it run. Chrysler products run forever.
